Stewardship Consider On-Line Giving
Are you aware that you can give online through your checking, debit or credit card accounts?
It is a simple and efficient way to fulfill your stewardship commitment. It also benefits
St. Rose by knowing what regular income to expect each weekend so that we can meet our financial obligations.
To enroll in online giving, go to www.saintroseoflima.com, click on the top right tab that says “Give” and follow the
instructions - it’s that easy!
Volunteers Needed For The Community Garden
A hard-working crew of volunteers planted the garden and now we need helpers to keep it going. We are asking for a commitment of just a few hours during one week of the summer for weeding, harvesting, and delivering produce to the Northborough Food Pantry. Not a gardener? No problem. We will provide instructions to each “Farmer of the Week” to let you know what needs to be done.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament.

Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.

Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

A Prayer for Persons Suffering from the Coronavirus
Merciful God, hear our fervent prayer for all who suffer from the coronavirus.
May those who are infected receive the proper treatment and the comfort of your healing presence.
May their caregivers, families and neighbors be shielded from the onslaught of the virus.
Give solace to those who grieve the loss of loved ones. Protect and guide those who strive to find a cure, that their work may conquer the disease and restore communities to wholeness
and health. Help us to rise above fear. We ask all this through the
Intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes and in the name of your Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen
The Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
In today’s Gospel Jesus reminds his apostles that they are sent to others. He encourages them – and us – to recognize and wel-come him in one another. The early Christian community took these words of Jesus to heart, becoming known for their many small kindnesses toward others and to the larger world. Family

A Prayer in Time of Pandemic
O God, whose Only Begotten Son
bore the weight of human suffering for our salvation,
hear the prayers of your Church for our sick brothers and sisters
and deliver us from this time of trial.
Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son:
Be not afraid, for I am with you always.
Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants;
give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour, that we might gather once again
to praise your name in the heart of your Church, delivered from all distress
and confident in your mercy.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.” (Matthew 10:38)
Pope Benedict XVI said, “The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort, you were made for greatness.” “Comfort” puts me first. “Picking up your cross and following Jesus” puts God and others first. Why settle for comfort when you can achieve greatness! Pick up your cross, ask Jesus for
guidance on using your gifts and live the life God intended for you.!
The Diocesan Dispatch
My Church
My church is composed of people like me. I help make it what it is.
It will be friendly, if I am. Its pews will be filled,
if I help fill them.
It will do good work of I do good work.
It will make generous gifts to many causes,
if I am a generous caregiver.
It will bring other people into its worship and fellowship,
if I invite and bring them in.
It will be a church of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith,
and a church with a noble spirit, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things.
Therefore with the help of God
I shall dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I want my church to be.
Amen
…..always treat others as you would like them to
treat you; that is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12
