Prayer of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most
Blessed Sacrament.
I love You above all things and I desire
to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there,
and unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
Amen.

Prayer for Saint Rose

Lord, we are your people,
the community of St. Rose.

Grace us to heal those who are
wounded,
touch those who are in pain,
feed those who are hungry,
warm those who are cold.

Help us to know the Father’s love
 through You, Jesus, and through
the Spirit.

Grace us to lift up that love and shower it on all who you
send into our midst.

Help us to build love on justice and justice on love.
Grace us to believe mightily, to hope joyfully,
to love divinely.

Oh Lord, help us each day to love one another as You
have loved us so as to become the family you long for us
to be.
Second Collection, Sept. 13th to support Christians living
in the Holy Land

Due to the pandemic caused by the Corona virus, it was not
possible to take up the Good Friday Collection dedicated to
supporting Christians living in the Land of Jesus. We will have
separate baskets at Mass for this collection. If you are mailing in
your donation, just make a note that it is for the benefit of the
Holy Land.

The collection in favor of the Holy Land is a small gesture of
solidarity that the whole Church is called to make in order to
support the Christian communities that are in the Holy Land.

TwentyThird Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus gives an astounding and reassuring promise: whenever
we’re together in love, he is always with us. Jesus also
reminds us that we can help one another by offering
correction to someone who does something wrong, but only
by doing it in a loving way.
Jesus gives us methods for settling disputes. How do you want
to be treated when you have hurt someone else?

Thank you all who attended our prayer service Sunday evening,
calling out to the God who saves to end this pandemic. For
those who joined us in person and those who joined us online,
the beauty in the evening lies with you and with your prayers.
We thank you for your presence. There is great power in prayer
and the love that rises up within it and united we can
accomplish great things.

Of course, behind any successful event lies the community
which comes together to enable it to happen. In that light, we
would like to thank all those involved Sunday evening: those
involved in the planning and setup, the scouts and young
neighbors who helped with the fire and greeting, the band
who gifted us with beautiful worship music, all those who
participated in our procession and all who contributed their
voiceincluding John Zawacki, for his moving reflection and all
those who read our prayers and petitions. A powerful sign of
the fullness of our St. Rose family: gathered in diversity, united
in love you enriched our prayer by offering your gifts of time
and talent and we thank you.

May Christ’s Peace be with you all,

Pandemic Prayer For World Health

Almighty and Ever Loving God,

Creator of all things, in You we place our trust
for guidance during this Coronavirus pandemic.
Hear the prayers we offer for our elderly
and those with chronic health conditions, who are
most vulnerable.
Let their faith and trust in You never weaken.

Allow your heavenly knowledge
to direct our medical professionals and researchers
to find a solution for this sickness.
Bless us with your divine protection, doctors, nurses and first
responders and surround us all with your love.

Guide those in authority, O Lord.
By the wisdom of our leaders and public health officials,
along with the integrity of our citizens, may harmony
be restored.

Look also with favor on the families and friends who
mourn those who have died from this illness and comfort
them in their loss.
Console them in the hope that all who trust in You will find
peace and rest in your eternal kingdom.

Calm this terror that threatens us.
Protect our families, neighbors and friends
and restrain our fears and anxiety.
Grant that health, the fruit of life, may reign throughout
the World.

Amen

$130,540.

Thank you for your support!

Overall, the Diocese is still shy of their goal of $5M by $856,000,

Through Partners we continue to reach out to the thousands of
Latinos and Africans who come to our Diocese, offer programs
for couples preparing for marriage, prepare new deacons for the
Church, and defend the lives of the vulnerable and the unborn.

All of this can only be accomplished by the gifts you make.

We hope you’ll be generous, this very day, in making a gift which
reflects your gratitude to God for all you have and remembering
that our gifts must sustain these services every single day of the
year ahead.
