“Christ Jesus… destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” — 2 Timothy 1:10b
Second Sunday of Lent — March 8th, 2020
NEW EVANGELIZATION SERIESThe New Testament • 3 Yr. Program • Starting 3/2020
ADA 2020 — A Message from the BishopDear Brothers and Sisters,
“Encountering Christ – Faith In Action” is the theme for our 2020 Annual Diocesan Appeal. This reminds us that, as Baptized Catholics, each of us has received an invitation to join as members of one community of faith and as followers of Jesus Christ.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation for your ongoing support of the Diocese of San Jose. Without your gifts of Time, Talent and Treasure the variety of pastoral projects that serve our community here in Santa Clara County and beyond would not be possible.
Your gift to the Annual Appeal has far-reaching effects and im-pact. Through your generosity this past year, you helped engage our youth eager to put their faith into action, you prepared our young couples for lifelong marriages, you provided formation that deepened the knowledge of our parish leaders, you created accessibility for Catholic education to students in need, and you supported ongoing educational and spiritual formation for priests, deacons and seminarians.
I am grateful to all who have already given to this year’s ADA for your charitable outreach effort in our Diocese. If you have not had an opportunity to make a gift, I hope that you will view the video below to learn how your gift supports your parish and the ministries of the Diocese of San Jose.
Please continue to keep me in your prayers and know that you and your family remain in my daily mass intentions.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Oscar Cantú Bishop of San Jose

Summer Camp Coming to SFC SchoolSteve & Kate’s Camp is coming to SFC School this summer! Open to all!
Kids take charge at Steve & Kate’s Camp. Rather than wait until they’re “old enough” to make decisions, kids design their day, their way. They learn to adapt. To risk, fail and rise. They leap and lead, today, to build the self-confidence they’ll need to wrangle unknowns tomorrow.
We tee up a wide range of activities, and campers decide what they want to do, with whom, and for and how long. Whether it’s making an animation in the Media Lab, creating custom designs in the Sewing Salon, cooling off in the giant water slide, or cook-ing up some pizza in The Bakery, one thing is for sure: kids are in control.
We’ve also got plenty of perks for parents. Lunch and snacks are included in the camp fees, and we revolve around your schedule, not the other way around: buy any number of Day Passes and use them any time. You don’t even need to tell us that you’re coming — just show up. And at the end of the summer, if you have any leftover Day Passes, we’ll refund them automatically.
Open this summer from June 8th – Aug. 7th for grades Pre-K through 7th, with leadership opportunities for 8th & 9th graders.
