SCHOOL YEAR NEWS 2014-2015
With Thanksgiving approaching, we want to let our parish know how thankful we are for your prayerful support of our school. We appreciate Fr. Richard’s liturgies and teaching, the endless tasks performed by the parish staff, the financial support for our school activities and incentive programs (Staples cartridges, Box Tops, etc.) and the example of the dedicated Catholics that our children see in church every week. We will continue to pray for your prayer petitions which have been placed on our prayer wall, and we ask your continued prayers for our school as we instruct our young children in the faith and classroom subjects. God bless you all! Peeking into ...French Class! Bonjour! We are so glad that French is back at St. Anthony. We have been quite busy reviewing some of the basics since the beginning of school: counting, greetings and the days of the week. The lower grades met Lucy, our French caterpillar, and are eager to sing and count with her. The higher grades have been involved in role-playing and most of them are getting really good at it. However, singing the alphabet remains one of their favorite activities. Ask our students and you will be amazed at how much they have already learned so far. What a privilege it is to teach the children a foreign language and what a joy it is to hear their little voices greeting me in French in the hallways.
