Sacred Heart School Volume 9, Issue 2 | October 4, 2017
Brothers and sisters: Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all
understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters,
whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and
seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:6-9

All Are Welcome We would like to extend the invitiation for your family

collaborative community. The 8:00 am Family Mass at
Saint Thomas More and the 9:30 am Family Mass at Sacred Heart
are both geared toward families with young children. Masses are
also offered at 4:00 pm on Saturday at both Sacred Heart and Saint
Thomas More, and at 11:30 am on Sunday at Sacred Heart. We hope
to see you this weekend as we celebrate the central expression of
our faith.
Parent-Teacher Communication Just a reminder…if you should have a question/comment/concern
regarding specific issues involving your child, please speak with
the teacher first. Direct communication with the teacher is the
fairest and most effective means for addressing specific concerns.
When necessary, I am happy to assist in discussions and the
resolution of specific issues once a conversation with the teacher
has occurred.
Calendar Drive
All families participating in the November Calendar
Drive should have already received their 30
calendars. The cost for each calendar is $10. The
drawings will be held daily during the month of
November.
The following steps should be completed before you
return your calendars to school:
• all 30 calendars must be sold to qualify for the
tuition reduction
• payment should be in the form of check(s) made
payable to Sacred Heart School. No cash. Please
write a check for any cash you receive.
• fill out the top portion of each calendar and
include all 30 when you return them to the office.
We will not fill out slips for families that do
not submit them with their payment.
Calendars must be sold by October 20, 2017 to
ensure that the slips are in place for the first drawing
on November 1. There will be no exceptions to this
date in order to be fair to all the people who
participate in the calendar raffle. Please do not send
them in until you have sold all 30. Thank you!
