Our Lady of Divine Providence is the Patroness

of Puerto Rico. The diocesan celebration of

O.L. of Divine Providence will take place in the

upper church of our Basilica on Saturday,

November 19, at 7 PM. All are invited to

participate.

Thanksgiving is Thursday of next week,

November 24. Our parish celebration will be at 10 AM. All are invited to participate. We thank God for the many

blessings we have received by sharing with those who are needier than ourselves. Please bring

canned goods and dry goods for the food pantry. Many thanks!

Bible Study and Faith Sharing: Come and join Father

McDonald in a group that seeks to know the scriptures

and to share their faith. This class meets every Monday

in the Parish Center at 7:30 PM.

The public phase of the campaign has come to a close. Many parishioners are still making their pledge. The pledge forms can be placed in the Saturday-Sunday

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy of Brooklyn respectfully joins our nation in thanking our veterans, whether here or abroad, for their service to our country. On November 9, 2016 our students were able to express our deepest thanks to the veterans of the Catholic War Veterans of Post #5 here at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Each class prepared their own little thank you as a letter, poem or song. We pray for all of our military that they come home safely and are able to be once again with their families.

The school is fortunate to have a nurse on staff for five days. Having Nurse Ishmael available to our students is very important to the safety and health of our children. Each year the staff is given training in the symptoms of an allergic reaction and the steps in administering an epi-pen should an emergency occur. In addition, Nurse Ishmael also provided valuable information related to Juvenile Diabetes. The concerns related to both high and low blood sugar were discussed along with immediate steps to take should a child show signs of distress. The faculty cannot administer medication but can alert the proper emergency services.

El jueves de la próxima semana, el 24 de noviembre, es el Día de Acción de Gracias. Nuestra celebración

parroquial será a las 10:00 AM. Todos están invitados a participar. Agradecemos a Dios por tantas bendiciones recibidas, y compartimos lo recibido con los más necesitados. Favor de traer su ofrenda de enlatados y

año la iglesia permanecerá abierta toda la noche. El

domingo 11 de Diciembre por la noche tendremos una

misa a las 10 PM, seguida por una obra de teatro y

música de banda. El 12 de diciembre las Mañanitas

con Mariachi serán de 4:30 AM a 6 AM en la iglesia de

arriba. La Antorcha Guadalupana saldrá a las

8:30 AM. La Celebración Eucarística del Lunes, 12 de

Diciembre se celebrará a las 7 PM. Están todos

cordialmente invitados.

La fase pública de la campaña ha

llegado a su término. Muchos

parroquianos todavía están

haciendo su compromiso. Pueden

entregar el formulario de compromiso en la colecta de

la Misa de sábado y domingo, o pueden dejarlo en la

oficina de la rectoría. Muchas gracias a todos los que

están participando en la campaña Generaciones de Fe

a través de su donación sacrificada y su oración por el

La Misa de Pro-Vida es cada martes de mes, por lo
