HAPPY EASTER! Or as most other languages prefer: Blessed Pasch—Passover! Pasqua, Pascua, Páscoa, Pâques! Israel’s Passover through the Red Sea to the Promised Land! Jesus’ Passover through the Cross to resurrection! Our catechumens’ Passover last night, and ours once upon a time, through Baptism’s waters to our family’s Eucharist! Welcome, everybody! As someone once said of the Catholic Church, “Here comes everybody!” So in this Jubilee of Mercy, we make our own Saint John Chrysostom’s Easter welcome from fourteen hundred years ago: “Let everyone enjoy this radiant feast! You who fasted from Lent’s beginning, and you who didn’t fast at all, rejoice! The table’s richly set! Come, take from it, everybody, no worries, no embarrassment! All of you, taste the banquet of faith! Enjoy the feast of forgiveness! Let no one grieve for having sinned again and again: pardon has risen from the tomb!” Happy Easter! Blessed Pasch! Welcome, everybody!

¡FELIZ PASCUA! ¡Feliz Pascua! La Pascua de Israel a través del Mar Rojo a la Tierra Prometida! La Pascua de Jesús a través de la cruz a la resurrección. La Pascua de nuestros catecúmenos anoche, y la nuestra una vez más, a través de las aguas de nuestro bautizo a nuestra familia eucarística. ¡Bienvenidos todos! Como alguien dijo una vez acerca de la Iglesia católica: “¡aquí vienen todos!” Así que en este jubileo de misericordia, hacemos nuestra propia Pascua de san Juan Crisóstomo desde hace cuatrocientos años “¡Permitan que todos se alegren en esta fiesta radiante! Ustedes que ayunaron desde el inicio de la Cuaresma y ustedes que no ayunaran para nada, ¡alégrense! ¡La mesa está generosamente

arreglada! Vengan, sírvanse, todos, no se preocupen, ¡no se avergüencen! ¡Todos ustedes, prueben el banquete de la fe! ¡Disfruten la fiesta del perdón! ¡No lloren por haber pecado una y otra vez:

Oración Sabatina: se reúnen los Sábados a las 7am en la capilla de la Virgen de Guadalupe.

Grupo de Oración Católica Carismática: Jueves a las 6pm en la cafeteria parroquial. ¡Ven a alabar y bendecir al Señor!

Devoción a la Divina Misercordia: Martes a las 6pm en la capilla. Rosario cada ultimo Domingo de mes después de Misa.

Asociación Guadalupana: Grupo devoto a nuestra Señora la Virgen de Guadalupe, que organizan su novena y fiesta.

Comité Vocacional: Promueve la oración y apoyo para los seminaristas y sacerdotes, a través de la Cruz Vocacional y otras actividades.

Grupo Juvenil “Holy Spirit Youth Ministry”: Para jóvenes en Middle School y High School los Domingos de 4pm a 6pm en el 1070-A N Texas St, todos son bienvenidos.

Pro-Vida: Grupo que ora por mantener la santidad de la vida desde su concepción hasta la muerte natural.

Liturgia: Ministerio del seguidores de Señor que en respuesta al llamado de Dios colaboran en las celebraciones eucarísticas como: Ministros de la Comunión, Lector, Salmista, Sacristan, Colecta, Hospitalidad. Si sientes el llamado para participar en el servicio por favor hablar con el padre.

Ministerio de Comunión y Visita a Enfermos y Ancianos: Este ministerio hace presente el aprecio y apoyo de la comunidad en la vida del enfermo y anciano llevándole la Sagrada Comunión y compartiendo un poco de su tiempo.

Música: Los Coros animan y realzan nuestras celebraciones.

Monaguillos/Servidores del Altar: Los monaguillos ayudan al Sacerdote en las Misas y otras liturgias. Los niños(as) y jóvenes deben haber recibido su Primera Comunión para participar en este ministerio.

Ministerio de San Lázaro: Los miembros asisten coordinando y preparando las exequias Cristiana con las familias. Ayudan a al sacerdote como sea necesario durante la Misa de Funeral.

Catecismo: Programa de Formación en la Fe para recibir los Sacramentos de Primera Reconciliación, Comunión y/o Confirmación. Grados 1 al 12. Y adultos que solo necesitan recibir la Confirmación.

RICA: Es un proceso de acompañamiento para niños mayores de 7 años y adultos que desean recibir los sacramentos de Iniciación: Bautismo, Confirmación y Primera Comunión. Y para adultos bautizados que desean recibir Confirmación y Comunión.

Quinceañeras: Presentar certificados de Primera Comunión y Confirmación; para hacer reservación de fecha hablar con el Padre con un año de anticipación aproximadamente.

Bodas: La pareja debe hacer cita con del Padre por lo menos con seis meses de anticipación para iniciar su proceso y fijar fecha, antes de hacer otros arreglos. Documentación a presentar: Certificados de Bautismo (nueva), Primera Comunión, Confirmación, nacimiento y Matrimonio Civil (si ya se ha casado al civil).

Bautizos menores de 7 años: Tenemos regularmente el segundo y cuarto Sábado del mes a loas 10am; clase prebautismal primer Lunes de mes regularmente; Registrarse com suficiente anticipación en la oficina.

Nuestro Terreno/Equipo de Justicia Social: esta formado por personas voluntarias que buscan construir una sociedad mas justa y establecer relaciones com instituciones para ayudar a superar los desafíos que enfrenta nuestra Comunidad.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: An opportunity to spend some quiet time with the Lord in silent contemplation. Held in the chapel every Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm.

Adult Confirmation: Catholics 18 and older, baptized and have received First Eucharist but never confirmed are invited to attend classes, in preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.

Altar Servers: Aid the priest on the altar at Mass and other liturgies. Children must be at least 10 years of age.

Altar Society: A group that plans and implements the decorations for each season in the Church.

Bible Study: Bible study group focusing on the scriptures is open to all adults.

Disciples of Jesus: Small groups meet once a week for prayer, sharing and support.

Eucharistic Ministers: Distributes communion at Sunday, daily and other Masses.

Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick and Homebound: Ministers visit parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to illness, bringing them the Eucharist and fellowship.

Faith Formation: Provides ongoing faith formation to children age 6 through 13. Provided in both English and Spanish.

Fellowship of Catholic Christian Women: A group helping women grow in their faith and relationship with God.

Finance Council: Provide financial guidance and direction for our growing parish. They meet on a monthly basis with the pastor, helping to administer and manage the goods of the parish. This is a pastor appointed council.

Grief Sharing: A program designed to help those who are struggling with the death of a loved one.

Hospitality Committee: Welcoming new parishioners, and providing opportunities for fellowship with other parishioners.

Infant Baptism: Parents and Godparents must attend class to prepare for the baptism of their infant - 6 year old.

Knights of Columbus: A men's fraternal organization that dedicates its work to the betterment of the Church.

Lazarus Committee: Members work with a partner to coordinate the preparation of Funeral Masses with families. They also help in the set up and assist the priest during the Funeral Mass. Music Ministry: Adult choir, children’s choir, cantors and musicians enhance our liturgies with music.

Pastoral Council: This council provides long range planning and direction concerning the parish. It is an advisory council that assists the pastor with the spiritual needs and concerns of our parish. This is a pastor appointed council.

RCIA: A journey toward the sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist. This is for adults and children age 7 and older seeking to become a member of the Catholic Faith.

Readers: Readers proclaim the Word at Mass and other liturgies.

Sacristans: Prepare the church before Mass, set up for the Eucharist and clean up after.

St. Vincent de Paul: Men and women offer service to those in our community who are in need of food, shelter and basics of life.

St. Zita: Volunteers help to keep our church building tidy and clean.

Ushers: Help others find a seat at Mass and see that out communion procession goes smoothly.

Young Adults: Adults age 20-30 meet weekly for prayer and fellowship.

Young Ladies Institute: A women’s fraternal organization that dedicates its work to the betterment of the Church.

Youth Ministry: Spiritual growth and fellowship for teenagers.
