Letter from the Chairman

Dear Readers,

One of our mottos at Rymco is to “Drive life”, meaning to “Drive Success”. We kicked off this year with a great start for Nissan, increas-ing sales volume by 12% when comparing YTD June 2012 compared to YTD June 2011.All departments are running in full synchronization towards achieving short and long term objectives.

Rymco has the leading market share in terms of USD sales and the second highest market share in terms of units sold, holding 17.92%despite the fact that Rymco’s model lineup does not compete in neither A & B segments, (Cars selling below $13,000) even thoughthese segments represent 1/3rd of the market place.

On a separate note,I am proud to annouce that Nissan Motor Co. has officially launched its six-year business plan called “Nissan Power88”; this plan is set to increase the company’s growth across new markets and segments. By implementing this plan, Nissan Worldwideexpects to improve the brands’ equity and sales power in attempt to capture a global market share of 8% as well as the operating prof-its.

This strategic objective promises to release an all-new model, on average, every six weeks for the next six years, supporting andresearching Zero-Emission vehicles and low emission technologies that support Pure Drive as well as investing in and introducing morethan 90 new advanced technologies within this six year period. Rymco is equally geared towards Power 88, while enhancing its overall targets in Lebanon with the below set strategic objectives:

-Sustain its market share: A minimum of 15%. -Investing in brand power and share holder values.-Maintain a healthy balance between volume and profits.

So far, we have introduced the All-New Nissan Micra, Sunny and Juke in Lebanon. These models have shown outstanding salesachievements, and we look forward to receiving the many more models to arrive during the end of this year and in early 2013; we areexpecting the All-New Nissan Altima, Pathfinder as well as the long-awaited New Nissan Tiida. With such a full and diverse Nissan line-up,we are certain to accommodate to all customers’ needs entirely.

Also in-line with Nissan’s core philosophy, we feel that our moral and corporate social responsibility lies within the environment.RYMCO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in the past years included the following:

• In 2009 Rymco was the first automotive dealer in Lebanon to go carbon neutral by signing an agreement with UK-listed EcoSecurities to audit and offset the Company's direct and indirect emissions of greenhouse gases

• In 2009, RYMCO enforced a recycling system internally in support of T.E.R.R.E. Liban in “Papivore Malin” the paper recycling project.

• In 2010 Rymco was a main supporter and funder for a new environmental study that aimed to monitor the air pollution caused by traffic, conducted by the Atmospheric and Analytical Laboratory (AAL) at the American University of Beirut (AUB). In 2012, the project came to a close with surprising results that have left us with a concern for our children’s health.

• In 2010, RYMCO sent its Holiday Greeting Cards with a green theme highlighting the “Drive Green, Drive Clean” RYMCO sloganprinted on recycled material.

• In 2011, Rymco adopts a non-smoking policy within its premises paving the way to a safer and healthier environment for its staff and visitors.

Referring to the Financial Statement of Q1 & Q2 of 2012 versus Q1 & Q2 of 2011, (page 11) a very positive improvement is observed andwe can proudly state that our financial figures have exceeded our forecasted numbers, and have differed completely when comparing to lastyear’s figures

Actual sales during the first half of 2012 was 4,100 units versus 3,225 during first half of 2011, bearing in mind that the forecasted targetwas 3,624 units which has lead to a turnover of USD84.2 million versus USD77.6 million. The Return On New Cars Sold has increased greatly from a negative number of -0.68% to +3.25%. Also, Vehicle inventory turn-over hasdecreased from 131 days (2011) to 71 days (2012) due to a newly implemented strict purchasing policy.

As a result of this above-mentioned positive progress, we have been able to decrease our Bank Debt by 50% from USD30.7 million (YTDJune 2011) to USD15.5 million (YTD June 2012) as well as significantly increase our EBT from -USD424,000 to USD2.3 million.

This strategic development is mainly focusing on long-term profitability, stakeholders’ satisfaction as well as market share increase.

Yours Faithfully,Fayez Rasamny, Chairman of Rymco

NISSAN BACKS GROUND-BREAKING DELTAWING PROJECT FOR LE MANS

Beirut, 14th March 2012 - Nissan is aiming to change the

face of endurance racing forever by becoming a founding

partner in the most radical motorsport project of its

time - Nissan DeltaWing.

A highly-advanced and hugely-efficient Nissan engine will

power the remarkable DeltaWing car as it races in anger for

the first time at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours (16-17 June).

While Nissan DeltaWing will not be classified in the 2012 Le

Mans 24 Hours, the Company is looking to showcase the

pioneering technology that will show one potential

direction for the future of motorsport and will feed into the

research and development of future technologies, that filter

down to Nissan's road car product range.

A race-prepared 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, featuring

direct petrol injection and a turbocharger, will power Nissan

DeltaWing, which is half the weight and has half the

aerodynamic drag of a conventional racer.

With innovation at its core, Nissan was a natural partner to

be invited into the DeltaWing family by the existing group

of core partners - US-domiciled British designer Ben

Bowlby, American motorsport entrepreneur Don Panoz, the

All-American Racers organization of former US Formula 1

driver Dan Gurney, Duncan Dayton's two-time

championship-winning Highcroft Racing team and

Michelin Tyres North America.

The engine, badged DIG-T (Direct Injection Gasoline -

Turbocharged), is expected to produce around 300hp,

• Nissan leads efficiency charge as founding partner of project

• Innovative new racing car to run at Le Mans with Nissantechnology

• Nissan DeltaWing will act as test bed for new road car technologies

• Drive for efficiency will see car use half the fuel of its

conventional counterparts, bringing Nissan "PureDrive"principles to the track

• Initial backers include racing legends Dan Gurney and Don Panoz, concept designer Ben Bowlby and Michelin

• Special invitation from ACO to occupy ‘Garage 56'• Car to wear number ‘0' and run outside race classification

Nissan DeltaWing experimental racecar to be powered by Nissan 1.6-litre DIG-T engine technology in this gener-ation's most revolutionary and exciting motorsport project

sufficient to give Nissan DeltaWing lap times between

LMP1 and LMP2 machines at Le Mans, despite having only

half the power of those conventional prototypes. It features

the same technology found in Nissan road cars, such as

the range-topping Nissan Juke DIG-T.

"As motor racing rulebooks have become tighter over time,

racing cars look more and more similar and the technology

used has had less and less relevance to road car

development. Nissan DeltaWing aims to change that and

we were an obvious choice to become part of the project,"

said Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President, Nissan Motor

Co., Ltd.

"But this is just the start of our involvement. Nissan

DeltaWing embodies a vast number of highly-innovative

ideas that we can learn from. At the same time, our

engineering resources and commitment to fuel efficiency

leadership via our PureDrive strategy will help develop

DeltaWing into a testbed of innovation for Nissan".

"This announcement gives Nissan the opportunity to

become part of a ground-breaking motorsport project and

one which could shape the future of the sport," he added.

Nissan DeltaWing concept originator and designer, Briton

Ben Bowlby, said: "Nissan has provided us with our first

choice engine. It's a spectacular piece. We've got the

engine of our dreams: it's the right weight, has the right

power and it's phenomenally efficient."

Nissan DeltaWing is unlike any other racing car currently on

track. The driver sits well back in the car, almost over the

rear axle and looks ahead down a long, narrow fuselage to

narrow twin front tyres, specially created for the car by tyre

partner Michelin. With a rear-mounted engine, the car has

a strong rearward weight bias, which makes it highly

manoeuvrable, while its light weight and slippery shape

make it far more efficient.

Its innovative design and forward-looking technology have

encouraged the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), the

organisers of the famous Le Mans 24 Hours, to invite the

car to run in this year's race from ‘Garage 56', the spot in

the pitlane reserved for experimental cars. As it doesn't

conform to any existing championship regulations, Nissan

DeltaWing will not be eligible to challenge for silverware

and will carry the race number ‘0'.

Nissan's expertise has been applied to the development of

the engine, in order to make it light and efficient enough to

prove the philosophy behind the concept can work in

‘real-world' motor racing. The Company, always among the

first to embrace such radical ideas and surprising new

performance innovations, has promised to apply key

learnings from the experience to inform strategies for its

PureDrive aerodynamics and efficiency package for road

cars, as well as its overall research & development

programmes.

Dan Gurney's legendary All American Racers organization

has built the DeltaWing. The new car continues the

California organisation's incredible legacy as a race car

constructor which has included 157 different cars built -

earning major victories in Formula 1, sportscars and the

Indianapolis 500.

Paul Willcox, Senior Vice President, Nissan in Europe, said:

"Nissan is a very innovative, forward-thinking company

prepared to take a risk or two. And exactly the same

applies to Nissan DeltaWing. Our involvement in the

project shows the boldness of Nissan from an engineering

and innovation mindset."

The first two Nissan DeltaWing drivers to be confirmed are

British Sportscar racer Marino Franchitti and Nissan's

reigning FIA GT1 World Champion Michael Krumm. The car

will make its first public demo laps at Sebring, Florida, at

12.30pm local time on Thursday, March 15.

LOCAL NEWS

LEBANESE MOTORISTS EXPOSED TO HIGH LEVELS OF AIR POLLUTION ON THE ROAD

AUB, RYMCO-Nissan and Bank Audi jointly reveal results of year-long MovingVan Air Pollution Study

Beirut - 24 May, 2012 – Motorists along the Beirut-Jounieh

highway are exposed to twice the acceptable levels of air

pollutants set by the World Health Organization, revealed a

new study conducted by the American University of Beirut

in collaboration with Rasamny Younis Motor Company –

RYMCO, Nissan’s exclusive dealer in Lebanon, and Bank

Audi s.a.l – Audi Saradar Group. Study results were

announced at a joint press conference held at AUB on May

24, 2012.

Entitled the “Moving Van Monitoring Particulate Matter

Pollution in Real Time on a Busy Street in Lebanon,” the

project was launched over a year ago. The Nissan Urvan

van, which set off on its mission in December 2010,

roamed the main Beirut-Jounieh freeway, collecting

pollution samples for over a year. Researchers then studied

the samples looking for 31 different types of air pollutants,

of different sizes, focusing mainly on fine particulate matter.

“The results showed that getting stuck in traffic for hours

is not only stressful, but bad for our health,” said Najat

Saliba, AUB associate professor of chemistry and lead

investigator on the study. “Just by organizing traffic and

reducing congestion, we would greatly reduce our health

risk.” Saliba noted that her team had measured that, on a

daily basis, a commuter who spends at least one hour in

traffic is exposed to 22 microgram/m3 of fine particulate

matter in the air. “This value is twice the amount

recommended by WHO and will increase this person’s

probability of death by 20 percent,” she warned.

“Our lives depend on maintaining a balanced ecosystem,”

said Fayez Rasamny, chairman of RYMCO. “Working on

reducing the harmful environmental effects of their vehicles

in order to hand down a healthy global environment to

future generations, Nissan was a pioneer, investing billions

of dollars in Research and Development to create a line of

models that will serve this goal. As exclusive dealer of this

automotive brand in Lebanon, we, at RYMCO, follow and

support Nissan’s philosophy of a ‘Symbiosis of People,

Vehicle and Nature’ which expresses our ideal image of a

sustainable mobility society; and as part of our moral

responsibility towards our country, we, as automotive

dealers, feel the necessity to help reduce CO2 emissions.

Despite the constraints in Lebanon in supporting

environmentally friendly vehicles, we have found ways to

support projects such as this, in order to create awareness

about the severity of this problem.”

Nissan has sold 27,000 Leafs worldwide since its launch in

late 2010 and expects to sell 1.5 million zero-emission

vehicles by 2016. The company plans to invest more than

$300 billion yen in environmentally friendly technologies by

2017 with a target to reduce its carbon footprint by 20 percent

by 2015, and subsequently RYMCO aspires to do the same

in Lebanon.

Rasamny added: “Based on the results of this study, laws

and regulations should be developed to enforce CO2

emission control, encouraging sales of new cars versus

used ones, given that manufacturers are obliged to control

the carbon emissions of their vehicles.”

The study, which also monitored the pollution levels on the

sides of the road, found that shops and people along the

sides of the road are exposed to 20 percent more particle

pollution than those in the middle of the street. Moreover,

the level of car emissions was 10 times higher than that

found on the roads of most European and US countries.

The culprits: old, ill-maintained cars, a large number of

cars, and high levels of traffic congestion.

Beirut, April 11, 2012-Rasamny-YounisMotor Company

S.A.L. (RYMCO), exclusive dealer of Nissan Motors

(Nissan, Infiniti), GM vehicles (GMC), Kawasaki and Renault

Trucks in Lebanon, announced today the results of the

“Make it with Micra” digital competition who gathered more

than 13,000 fans on Facebook making it one of the most

popular competitions in Lebanon.

Rymco Marketing Manager Mr. Jade Ayoub handed the

prizes to the winners as follows, Nadine El Zein winner of

the new Nissan Micra car,Khoder Alemeh winner of the

$400 cash prize, Elie Matta winner of the $300 cash prize,

Ali Aamiss winner of the $200 cash prize Johnny Maalouf

winner of the $100 cash prize.

The competition invited contestants to visit RYMCO

Facebook page and test their driving skills for a chance to

win a brand new Micra. Participants had one minute to

reach the finish line, collect as many game points as

possible while avoiding the obstacles. The player with the

highest score won a brand new Nissan Micra!

“We call upon governmental and non-governmental

organizations to help in solving this acute air pollution

problem in the city,” said Saliba, who listed three

important, yet practical, measures that individuals and

governmental bodies can do to reduce pollution

:

1- Drivers should avoid stopping in the middle of the road

or double parking, both of which add to congestion and

hence pollution levels.

2- Government bodies should be stricter about road-

worthiness tests, or what is locally known as mécanique,

imposing fines on old cars that have high emission levels.

3- Governmental and non-governmental bodies should

immediately start working on enhancing existing public

transportation facilities and devising new ones.

Khalil Debs, assistant general manager and head of Group

Corporate Banking at Bank Audi sal - Audi Saradar Group,

added: “Air pollution affects every individual living in the

country, and we believe it is high time that such an

environmental issue be addressed. Bank Audi’s support of

this initiative is in line with its raison d’être of raising

awareness to mobilize the public sector and the business

community to take important measures aimed at curbing

such an environmental problem. This underscores Bank

Audi’s deep conviction that it owes the community the

responsibility of ensuring wellbeing and development, a

challenge which the Bank takes on by promoting progress

in order to bequeath to future generations a lasting positive

outcome.”

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, fine

particles are so small that they can go deep into the lungs

and cause serious health problems. Numerous scientific

studies have linked particle pollution exposure to a variety

of problems, including: increased respiratory symptoms,

such as irritation of the airways, coughing, or difficulty

breathing; decreased lung function; aggravated asthma;

development of chronic bronchitis; irregular heartbeat;

nonfatal heart attacks; and premature death in people with

heart or lung disease.
