A very good afternoon to all. Already we have a few more months to fin-ish off as we are in the tail end of the RY2017/18. Notices in the

Whasapp see notices like the Installation dates of our Sister Clubs and our forthcoming 3rd Club Assembly. The 3rd Club Assembly will be on the Sun 29th April at Rtn Tenny Lee’s residence. There will be reports by the various Avenue Direc-tors to inform us what we had achieved for the year. It will also be a Fellowship gather-ing and we will see some spouses whom we had not seen for some time. There will be a Fire Prevention talk by Mr Reuben Teoh who will speak on the subject “ Don’t give fire a chance” As for the Sister Clubs Installation RC Singa-pore West will have theirs on Mon 6th August 2018 and already a few members have signed up. Look for Rotarian Elaine Tan if you are keen to attend. RC Dhonburi will have their installation on Wed 27th June 2018 and again a few had already signed up. RC Songkhla is a popular place to go to and their installation is on 25th July 2018. RC Mandaluyung slated their installation for two days on 8-9 Nov 2018. Exciting times are ahead. Write down the dates and have a good time! Today we will have Dr Shashi Kumar who will speak on a very apt subject “Nutrition.” Like they said, we are what we eat, but we must be careful in what we eat. N ow I have my full column back. It seems the President has gone less verbose or having less to tell since it’s coming to the end of his year.

This year’s participants at the District Train-ing Assembly are really lucky. Not only will they be treated to a well-organised seminar with very interesting subjects (see pages 14-15) for the items, the spouses too will be treated to great archaeological stuff of histori-cal significance. Being away from KL is also a good thing once in a while. And it seems Sungai Petani has quite something to offer. Clubs would also be preparing for submission of their reports for the District Awards. It’s good to have this kind of requirements so that our clubs strive to give their best in all the fields of endeavour. Pudu has been winning many prizes before but lately other clubs have come to the fore. Hopefully, this year we would not be disappointed. However, the real pride for any club is the Presidential Citation by Rotary Internation-al. The criteria are stringent but meaningful. Being data-driven and covering all the essen-tials required of a truly world class club, the Presidential Citation is THE “award” to go for. We won it when it was first introduced—in its new data-driven computerized format—in RY2015-16, didn’t make it the following year. By the way, Facebook is still holding its own in terms of popularity. Our own Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/RotaryclubofPudu/ now has all the stories and pictures of activities placed in it. Consequent-ly, the website is now like a jilted lover, a sad has-been indeed.

He has shared with us some of the charity projects undertaken by the beauty queens of Miss and Mrs Chipao Malaysia, Miss and Mrs Kebaya Malaysia and Miss and Mrs Saree Malaysia. F irstly, I’m humbled and incredibly honoured to be invited by Rotary Club of Pudu share my experience and expertise. I am happy to share my

thoughts as it has always been my passion for teaching others. I would like to thank every-one who has been supporting my various work in not only in pageantry, but in my year-ly active events as well. I came from humble beginnings in Kuala Ter-engganu( My Home town) later on moved move to Kuantan, Pahang and then last-ly Klang Valley to expand my expertise in major cities of Malaysia and then Asia and the World Market. I studied Malaysia's Strength, weakness & understood how our system worked. I then realized that Malaysia have unique multi-races and culture and we are moderate & stable both politically & eco-nomically .MMK is different from other pag-eant organisation. We apply cultural & educa-tion base with 1 Malaysia concept where you will always be supported by the government of Malaysia . With multi racial participants they will be able to portray Kebaya in a very fashionably elegant style. We choose beauty with brain and good hearted Finalists & Am-bassadors to Promote Our Culture & Tourism Malaysia.

This year 2018, Beauty with Caring Heat is our slogan for Miss & Mrs Chipao (Cheongsam) Malaysia Open 2018 Beauty Competition in conjunction with One Caring Heart Malaysia Community Leadership CSR Excellence Award Gala Dinner held on the 1st April 2018. This year we are honored to be invited by Puan Sri Dr Susan Cheah to jointly organize with her One Caring Heart Malaysia Community Leadership CSR Excellence Award. MCM with the same Concept of Miss Malaysia Kebaya, MMK is always running yearly Education, Cultural Beauty Pageant and Target for All Races regardless of religion and race. I would like to extend my gratitude to the following people for supporting and making this and my past events a success.

Year 2018 is a good start for MMK ,

MCM is our starter. We have year round of

events waiting for us to be carried out from Chipao (Cheongsam), continued with Miss Malaysia Kebaya 2017/18 journey to Miss Kebaya World 2018/19, followed by Miss Sa-ree Malaysia , Miss World Cup Malaysia 2018. We are happy also to collaborate and co-organize World Championships of Perform-ing Art (WCOPA) and will be going to Holly-wood , Los Angeles this early July 2018. Not only that, we jointly organize Asean Automo-tive Ambassador 2018 which will be launched in April and Grand Finals in October 2018

After 6 years of hard work , Determina-tion and Never giving Up. MMK is ready to go international. Today we have MMK Media Partners, MMK Studio, MMK Photogra-phers , MMK Couture , MMK Queens, Am-bassadors , Models, Talents,and all are our asset of Promoter , Marketer and Brander to Promote not only MMK , Partners , Sposors products & Services we promote our Girls given them Exposure , Training & Opportuni-ty especially in Fashion, Entertainment Indus-try and connect them to the Corporate world through our unique platform. Dear Fellow Rotarians, Rotaract Celebrates 50 years This month also marks 50 years since the first Rotaract club was char-tered in 1968. Rotaract was designed to promote responsible citizenship and leader-ship potential in clubs of young men and women, aged 18 to 30. In District 330 then, which is now 3300, the first Rotaract formed is the Rotaract Club of Ipoh in 1968. For many years, Rotary has done Rotaract a disservice by looking at our youth and young adult programs as mere precursors to Rotary membership, and not as valuable and productive programs in their own right. But Rotaractors are truly partners in Rotary service. As we celebrate this anniversary with Rotaract, I encourage all Rotary clubs to consider sponsoring a Rotaract club or to strengthen their ties with the clubs they already sponsor. District Training Assembly (DISTASS) The 84th District Training Assembly and the PETS are being held on 21st April and 20th April respectively. The annual DTA is the major leadership training event in each Rotary District of the world. The district as-sembly offers motivation, inspiration, Rotary information and new ideas for club officers, directors and key committee chairmen of each club. The success of the DTA is frequently determined by the clubs’ full representation and participation. Club Visit To-date, I have completed 79 clubs visits out of a total 82 clubs in our District. This Rotary year, the Rotary Club of Bukit Angkasa was chartered making it to a total of 83 clubs. I am relieved that it is almost over. Yours in Rotary Service. ON THE LIGHTER SIDE

WE ALL GET OLD IN THE END.... I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People get out of the way much faster now. Gone are the days when girls used to cook like their mothers. Now they drink like their fathers.. I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row. I decided to stop calling the bathroom the 'John' and renamed it the 'Jim'. I feel so much better saying "I went to the Jim this morning". Old age is coming at a really bad time. When I was a child I thought “Nap Time” was a punish-ment. Now, as a grownup, it feels like a small vacation. The biggest lie I tell myself is..."I don't need to write that down, I'll remember it." I don't have gray hair; I have "wisdom highlights" I'm just very wise. Don't ever ask me to bend down and touch my toes. If God wanted me to touch my toes, He would have put them on my knees. Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet. Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice. At my age "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering what I came in there for. Actually I'm not complaining because I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 55 years later.

- I don’t have to go to school or work. - I have a driver’s license and my own car. - I get an allowance every month. - I have my own ipad (although I can't recall where I kept it) - I don’t have a curfew. I have more friends I should send this to, but right now I can't remember their names. Now, I’m wondering…did I send this to you, or did you send it to me? Yes or No?
