What is the Value?

We are not running out of oil, We are running out of “easy oil” That is why we have to further explore the ned for cost-effective Intervention Solutions

Benefits compared to interventions from a semi

submersible rig:

• Reduced operation cost by 50-70%

• Reduced operating time

• Increased Weather Window

• Mobilizing, vessel can run between fields

at 14 knot speed

Results in:

• Reduced cost per intervention

• Enabling more interventions that otherwise would

not have been performed

Hydrate Remediation

• Dual-pump system capable of 15ksi @ 5gpm

• Hot-stab Interface

• 100-gallon onboard Liquid Recovery System

• ROV Front porch interface, enabling: – Fluid Isolation – Directional Flow Control – External fluid import & export

• Real-time Operational Diagnostics

Acid Stim System Overview

• Down Line Configuration – Coiled Tubing

• Injector head – over the side or thru moonpool

– Flexible jumper from CT to connector

– Hot make and break, zero leak connector

• Subsea Stimulation Module – Hot make and break, zero leak connection

– Maintain dual barrier philosophy

– Bolt on to subsea connector

• Subsea connection device must be

provided by client

Pump-in Tree Adapter

• Prevents contamination or damage to the stack by injecting hazardous fluids into the well bore below the stack

• 18-3/4” H4 connector allows stack to be landed on multiple XTs by only changing out the production seal stab – 10k & 15k EHXT – 10k & 15k EVDT – 15k EVXT

• Modification of existing FMC rental connector,

minimizing delivery time

• Maintains dual barrier philosophy

Added feature to adapter

between RLWI and TRT allows

for fast follow-up of PLT

wireline test to assess

efficiency of fluid treatment

Some sense of scale

• Stack 4 loaded on Island performer last week

• In the back you see the WCP

• In front the Lubricator

What type of Intervention do I need?

Can Do: • Multi-well Diagnostics

• PLT • Water shut off • Sand & Scale clean out • Shifting sleeves • Milling nipples, restrictions, valves • Cut tubing (in compression) • Tubing/casing inspection (internal and external metal loss)

Capable of analyzing the integrity of the outer pipe from inside the inner pipe • GLV change out • Well start up/ Gas lift • Perforating - EOR • Setting/Pulling plugs • CH and OH logging

(CHFR, RST, CBL, USIT, MFC etc) • Acid stimulation/Chemical spotting • Hydrate removal • 4D seismic • Prepare well for P&A • Etc

Does RLWI work for me?

RLWI Convertible to Riser

• FTO Services has designed a dedicated 10ksi, RLWI system that can leave WCP barriers in place and reconnected with a open water completion/workover riser, per API 17G, Annex N

• The LLP and lubricator section of the RLWI would be replaced with an EDP and Tapered Stress Joint

Page 17: Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI), methods key to

16

Subsea Well P&A has changed

• In past (prior to Feb. 2014) Operators were allowed to perform lower P&A cement squeeze, cut tubing and place cement plugs at upper levels, followed by cutting the wellhead and recovering all subsea equipment open water often in one-pull salvage

• BSEE WILL NO LONGER

ALLOW THIS!!!!

Page 18: Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI), methods key to

17

New Era Subsea Well P&A

• BSEE now requires an upper abandonment step to perforate/cut into B annulus and cement

• Upper abandonment must be done with a WCP

• Conventional means requires a BOP or larger bore WCP for pulling TH and casing , limiting choice and availability of vessels to do P&A

old method new method

with B-annulus

circulation/cementing

Page 19: Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI), methods key to

18

New Era Subsea Well P&A

• FTO perusing Thru-tubing P&A technology to allow upper P&A to be done with subsea tree hardware in place (acting as WCP)

• When well barriers properly in place, wellhead cutting can take place and then go back to conventional subsea equipment salvage

Increased Oil Recovery – a value driven ambition

• IOR by 1% on Statoil wells = 50 bill USD (approx. 525 ss wells)

• Should be possible to achieve globally!

• We are ready for smart interventions, but need commitment from operators!

• Or said with the new language - We got the apps, but need some mobile phones!
