Manager’s NotesAll about Business

As winter transitions into spring (or straight into summer as

it often happens in Arizona) there is a lot of activity taking

place in the park, such as the park wide yard sale scheduled

for April 9. And as we mentioned last month, you will have

noticed one of the new homes being moved in and placed

on lot 46. The other two new homes are going to be placed

on lots 216 and 225. So don't forget to refer family or friends

to the park! If you refer someone who buys a park owned

Bliss home (whether new or remodeled) you will receive

two months free rent once the sale is consummated!

Now onto the common areas. The maintenance crew have

been working diligently on projects that contribute to

beautifying the common areas in the park, including the

ongoing attention to the landscaping; updating the exterior

of The Owl's Nest and Rincon Roost location; and redoing

the roof area at the family pool, to name a few. So we'd like

to thank Gary, Ron and Allen for all of their hard work!

Another activity that will be taking place is the replacement

of transformer #2 which is located on the south side of the

park that services homes in the southwest corner of the

community. We have scheduled the project to begin on

April 11 and it will continue through April 13. Phil Stratton

Electric will be handling this project and will perform prep

work on Monday and Tuesday with the actual replacement

to take place Tuesday night beginning at midnight. Thus

the power will be shut off from midnight through 6:00 AM

Wednesday morning to facilitate the replacement of the

transformer. We appreciate your understanding during this

necessary process.

Yard Contest

Speaking of activities, the yard contest launches this month.

The first segment of the park we will be choosing from is

located in the southeast section, ranging from lot number 30

to 101 (cul-de-sacs off of Floral Way). Let the fun begin!

Friendly Reminders

All pets need to be on leashes and in the company of the

resident when outside the home.

Pool filters can become clogged by suntan lotions or oils. So

if you use these products please rinse off before you enter

either of the pools or the spa. This will go a long way

towards keeping the pool equipment working correctly and

the pools and spa clean and in good working order.

This is a no smoking community meaning smoking is not

Craftie SnippetsThe Owl's Nesters have been busy meeting and

planning future events. Look for more upcoming

events in the future. The newly formed planning

committee will hold monthly get-togethers at the

beginning of each month. At our last meeting the

attendees were Barbara Elliott, Cathy Wilson,

We are currently finishing the "Pillow Case Dresses

Something nice is going on in My Neighborhood.

I think I have a “Newspaper Fairy!!

Every Wednesday thru Saturday morning I would

put on the Coffee, Robe-up, open the side door

and enter the cold morning air. I would squeeze

between my truck and the carport wall as I

walked toward the street to fetch my newspaper.

Then one morning this all changed. I opened the

side door and there it was. My newspaper, just

sitting there waiting for me.

To my delight this has been going on for quite

some time.

The perplexing thing is . . . I've never seen or

heard a sound. I've never had a hint or a clue. And

I've always wondered - - - 'Who Are You?”

Well, I began to Imagine a Kindhearted Fairy.

I gave you a Knick name Quite worthy of Fame.

You're the Newspaper fairy of North Tipperary.

Now I suspect I'm not the only one in our park to

experience this nice gesture. So I'd like to express

my Appreciation.

Thanks A Million!!! Thanks, Thanks, and Thanks,

again to a Wonderful Kindly and Unknown

Neighbor.

Flu season has hit Tucson strong. March is another month for high flu cases. If you are

not feeling well please call me and we will deliver a meal to your home. If you know of

someone in the park that could use a meal delivered to their home and this is OK with

them, please let me know. Tell them we try to deliver between 11:30 and 1:30 on the first

and third Tuesdays of every month. A huge THANK YOU to all my volunteers who help

set up, prep, cook, serve, deliver meals, and clean up. Peggy (539-8007). I will be out of

town for March meals. Please call Carol (904-335-7385) if you need a meal delivered for

either/both March meals. Thank you.

Weather is getting warmer. The "Help Your Neighbor" Committee helps residents who

are having a hard time keeping up their yards. These are residents who are physically

and financially unable to care for their yards and do not

have people to help (i.e. family, friends, etc.).

Volunteering for this work comes from a desire to have

a more beautiful park for all and to help our neighbors.

There are also many residents in the park that do yard

work who advertise in the View. Outside the park:

Warren Weed Control (870-9847) charges $40 for the

whole year. This covers a pre-emergent and a weed

killer. They will come out and check status of your yard

throughout the year and welcome calls if you notice

weeds coming up. Weed-Troll of Tucson (290-9873) has

a one-time pre-emergent treatment fee of $60 then

$25/month treatments. If you, or you know of a resident

who needs help, or if you would like to volunteer

please call Peggy (539-8007).

Upcoming Events

Following our 6:30pm meeting on April 4th the

Tucson Police Department will have a representative

giving us information on Fraud Prevention. What can

we do as an individual to prevent 'scam artists' from

stealing our money? Be there to learn many of the

ways the 'bad guys' try to fool us.

Following our March meeting the Tucson Community

Home Repair volunteer organization gave us a

presentation on what they could do for residents in

our community who are in need. This was very

informative for some of our residents who may wish

to use some of their services. They informed us of

income restrictions, whether the repairs pertained to

energy savings or were for health purposes. All in all,

I hope the information passed on will be of help.

Judy Cameron

President

Thank You

I would like to thank all those who have come out (vendors, customers and volunteers) to our Rincon Country

MHP Arts & Craft Sale over the five years that I have organized this event. I have decided to step down as the

organizer of this event and move on to other opportunities. It has been an amazing opportunity getting to know

those artists who both live in our community and those outside our park. Thank you so much!

The next step in the ongoing Arts & Crafts Sale is finding a committee to carry this event forward. I would suggest

that the committee start with a chairperson. The committee has persons to look after vendors, advertising, set up

& take down, posters & placement of posters & flyers, raffle items, floor placement, kitchen and volunteers. If

there is anyone who might want to take on any of these positions/responsibilities to further this event, I will take

on the task of putting names together and pass on any of my notes going forward.

Thanks again for my great experiences in this park.
