The kindergarten and elementary students presented The Missionary Kids Christmas Special on Friday, December 21st to a full house in the FBT worship cen-ter. The program featured international Christmas songs that highlighted missionary kids from around the world. The audience was touched by special messages sent from FBT missionary families: the Keefes in Australia, the Sterlings in Asia, the Salleys in Costa Rica, and the Allreds in Mexico.

The annual food drive was a success! Our FCS family brought in a variety of food items that filled 70 boxes. The food boxes were added to the food donations given at the FBT Living Christmas Tree. The boxes were distributed to local families with needs in addition to a variety of local groups who assist people with needs. Thank you for your support! Our FCS family is

4th Grade Celebrated Arbor Day The 4th grade students were able to practice being a Forester in honor of SC Arbor Day, December 7, 2012. Each student received a tree seedling to plant. FCS mom Leslie Shaffer from The Shaffer Agency of Florence was the sponsor of the project.

Junior Class Fundraisers Thank you to all who supported the Juniors this year in the annual fruit and cookie dough sales and the Valentine’s Day sales. Both fundraisers were a big success. These two fundraisers help the Juniors with the expense of the Jr/Sr in April as well as, assist them in the finances of their senior trip next

fall.

3rd Grade Science Activities Who would think that sci-ence could be so fun? The 3rd grade classes made science come to life in making ice cream and their own snow day! They learned basic fundamen-

tals of science while having fun at the same time. The classes made home made ice cream in their rooms while another day they did a variety of activities that related to snow and the winter sea-

son.

100th Day Celebration

Tuesday, January 29, 2013 was the 100th day of school and several classes had a variety of activities that made the day fun and exciting! The first grade classes had a “round up” in the gym where cowboy and cowgirl teams had to build a tower with cups trying to reach 100! Even the teachers had a little

friendly competition going on! It was a fun day of educational activities.

The student government executive officers hosted students from Dillon Christian School as part of the SCISA School Exchange program in early February. The guests toured our school and visited a number of classrooms. Our officers had visited DCS last semester where they were able to share insight and observe happenings at their school.
