Robyn Rihanna Fenty (Saint Michael, February 20, 1988), better known by her stage name Rihanna, is a Barbadian singer, of Barbadian descendent, Guyanese and Irish.

She signed a contract with publisher Jam Recordings after a hearing, which sparked interest from producer Evan Rogers and vice president at the time of publishing, Jay-Z, for the young artist.

In 2005 she recorded her first studio music album, which reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200
