1.0 INTRODUCTION

This document sets out the requirements of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa”) to look for a qualified

ventilation contractor to upgrade the existing kitchen exhaust system in the Food Court at Annexe

Building for the purpose of eliminating the unpleasant cooking oil and smoke. Bidders are required to

address all the requirements stated in this Request For Quotation (“RFQ”) document and its

appendices.

The RFQ belongs to Bursa and bidders are required to hold such proprietary and confidential

information in the strictest form. It is not to be duplicated, distributed or disclosed to any third parties

without written consent from Bursa.

2.0 STANDARDS AND INSTRUCTIONS

This section covers the standards and instructions that should be followed by the bidders in response to

this RFQ. Please read this RFQ specification carefully. Bidders are advised to read the whole of this

document.

2.1 Instructions to Prospective Bidders

2.1.1 The proposal must be enclosed in a SEALED envelope and must be addressed to:-

2.1.2 The proposal must reach Bursa Malaysia not later than 5.00pm, Friday April 5, 2013. Late

responses will not be entertained.

2.1.3 The top left-hand corner of the envelope must be marked “RFQ For Upgrade of Kitchen

Exhaust System”. This is also required for any subsequent written correspondence.

2.1.4 Quote must be signed by an official who is authorised to act on behalf of the organisation

submitting this proposal.

2.1.5 Any suggestions for additional work which the bidder reckons need to be included in the RFQ

must be stated in Appendix I.

2.1.6 Prices must be quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) on a per item basis as per Specifications /

Schedule of Prices (Appendix I).

2.1.7 Bursa reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal submitted.

5.0 SCHEDULE OF PRICES

5.1 Bidders are to submit their schedule of prices in Appendix I.

6.0 SCOPE OF WORKS

6.1 Upgrade of Existing Exhaust Fan System 6.1.1 To supply and install two (2) additional booster exhaust fans at existing main exhaust

ducting for increasing the static pressure during heavy cooking periods. 6.1.2 To supply and install two (2) nos. of Fresh Air Fan i.e. 1 No of 10,400 CFM and 1 no of

9,975 CFM at Static Pressure of 1.6” WG. 6.1.3 To supply and replace existing fifteen (15) individual exhaust fans which are currently

installed at the kitchen hoods with larger capacity exhaust fans (1,500 cfm). 6.1.4 To supply and install one lot of new fresh air ducting system, complete with fire

alarm tripping signal integration to existing fire alarm system at Annexe Building (to comply to Bomba requirements) for the purpose of increasing the exhaust rate to 1500 CFM per exhaust food for achievement of 90% of fresh air make-up rate.

6.1.5 To supply and install one new stainless steel kitchen hood at Stall No.16. For your

information this stall is not provided with kitchen hood previously.

6.2 Repair of Existing Exhaust Ducting

6.2.1 To repair all existing ducting joints to prevent oil leaking. 6.2.2 To install oil dripping pan at each of the stall kitchen for collecting oil leaking from the

ducting joints.

6.2 Mechanical and Electrical Works

6.2.1 To engage competent technician and wireman to install the electrical work. 6.2.2 To terminate all unused existing power cabling in a safe manner. This is to prevent

electrical hazard.
