Composition:
Representatives from the Seven (7) Reserve Components and (1) DANTES representative.
Charter:
To assist in providing access to educational opportunities, including DANTES and Service-specific programs that benefit the Reserve Components.
Joint Study to consolidate education services
Joint Education Centers Funding Personnel Counseling, testing, TA administration
Consolidated Education Resources On-line resources, single portal Joint publications
RCEP Vision
RCEP Goals
Provide awareness of Reserve Component (RC) Voluntary Education initiatives and concerns to CCME participants;
Identify RC issues relating to entitlements and/or benefits, including the Post 9/11 GI Bill and Tuition Assistance;
Create a common understanding with educational institution representatives of RC service members issues;
Devise and achieve consensus on solutions beneficial to the RC and Education communities;
Identify policy, legislative, and statutory changes to implement lasting solutions, as needed.

Maintained a Reserve Education office in Personnel Service Center,
Reserve Personnel Management Division. Manages all reserve VA education programs including eligibility,
issuance of Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE,) Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP), MGIB-SR, VA inquires, and
approval of TEB requests for Post 9/11 GI Bill. Reservists can locate VA education programs/policies on

concerns, requests, and questions for all VA education programs.
US Coast Guard Reserve
Visibility of which program members relinquished for Post 9/11. Reserve Component members eligible for other educational programs are required to relinquish one other program in order to use the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
14 USC 712: Recall for Domestic response is not creditable for Post 9/11 GI Bill.
