Requiem was f irst performed on 13 October 1985 at Lovers' Lane UnitedMethodist Church, Dallas, Texas (Director of Music: Al ien Pote) by theSanctuary Choir and orchestra. Movements 1, 2, 4, and 7 were f irstperformed on 14 March 1985 at Fremont Presbyterian Church, Sac-iamento, Cali fornia (Minister of Music: Mel Olson) by the SanctuaryChoir and ensemble. Both performances were conducted by the com-poser . T l re Lord is n r r t shcphc id was or ig ina l l y wr i t ten in 1976 a i a separa teanthem.

Requiem has been recorded by the Cambridge Singers and City of LondonSinfonia with soprano soloists Caroi ine Ashton and Donna Deam, con-ducted by the composer. The recording is on the Collegium label, COL103 (a lbum) , COLC 103 (casset te ) , and COLCD 103 (compact d isc ) .
