The EU-CEG XML Creator is a standalone client provided by the European Commission in the context

of the Tobacco Products Directive 2014/40/EU. It allows submitters to generate XML files that can be

uploaded to the ETRUSTEX system for the purpose of making submissions to the EU Common Entry

Gate (EU-CEG).This client is made available to submitters at the courtesy of the European

Commission; however, submitters may also decide to generate XML files by any other means.

Before to migrate your files check the version you are using at the top right of the screen

Step by step:



Warning:

The versions 1.2.x will still be supported until the 01/07/2018.

Run the XML creator 1.3.0 by clicking on the run.bat or tpd-xml-creator-tool-1.3.0.jar file.

Migration from 1.1.x to 1.3.0

Warning:

The version 1.1.x is not supported anymore.

The version 1.3.0 requires the migration of the existing data. This process is automatically executed

by the XML Creator tool on the first access to the data created in previous versions.

The migration Step by step:



Copy the "data" folder from the "tpd-xml-creator-tool-1.x" into the new version root "tpd-xml-

creator-tool-1.3.0"

Run the XML creator 1.3.0 by clicking on the run.bat or tpd-xml-creator-tool-1.3.0.jar file.

(Note: The duration of the migration process will depend on the number of files to be processed,

please wait until the process has been completed)

The popup to confirm the migration process will be displayed:

The expected result is this success message:

If all the files have been correctly migrated they will be displayed directly in the list.

If something goes wrong, like for example an XML file that has been changed then a popup will be

displayed and a migration log file will be created.

The migration log file will contain all the errors and warnings found during the migration. Note: The

result of the migration can be found in the log folder (file path:

log/TPD_XML_migration_process_x_x.log.

What's new? The new version of the TPD XML Creator tool includes the following new features, improvements and

fixes.

Improvements

Improvement #1: Performance To improve the data loading performance an embedded database has been integrated in this new

XML creator version for tobacco products and e-cigarette.

The work around "Load more button" that we put in place with the version 1.2.0 has been removed

Improvement #2: error messages Review of the Highlight of the missing fields according to the validation rules described in the data

dictionary.

In the section 'Product presentation' the field 'Package Unit' is misleading as what it

is asking is the 'number of individual units in the unit pack'

The label 'Sales volume' has been replaced by 'Sales volume (units or kg)'

The 'Unit' label has been replaced by 'Unit of measurement' in the emissions tab.

The label 'quantity' in emission tab has been replaced by 'Emiss Quantity (without unit)'

The 'Id. Refill container cartridge' label has been replaced by 'Kit - Identify container/cartridge'

Feature #1: Filter Because we have added an embedded database for the performance we have been able to include a

filter on the tobacco products and e-cigarette submissions.

This filter allows you to filter on: Product Id, Product Type, Previous product Id, Submission Type,

Submission comment, Status, Modified date

1 Fix the validation check on the field Submitter ID

2 The submitter details backup should be created successfully during the migration

3 Loading performance issue

4 Display the "*" conditionally depending of the business rules

5 Tobacco and e-cigarette: when the submitter details are updated, the submitter details information disappears from the "Submitter" tab in the product submissions.

6 For Tobacco and E-cigarette: the two fields related to the 'Submitter Type' are never highlighted

7 The IdentificationEcigDevice element cannot be present because the value of the productType element is not 6

8 "Child tamper proof decl." field has been changed to optional to be aligned with the data dictionary
