The Ascension of the Lord STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelations 22:13)
This is a reminder of how we should live our lives 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – putting God first in all that we do. Not only when I am at Mass and parish activities, but when I am in the world, at work or at school. Living gratefully and gen-erously is a lifestyle; it should influence how I make all my daily decisions.
LAST SUNDAY’S COLLECTION $5,392.00
COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE
As a Secular Franciscan and Eco-Ministry member, I encourage you to live out Laudato Si by purchasing a Community Supported Agriculture
(CSA) Share from A Rocha’s Brooksdale Farm in Surrey. A Rocha is a Christian Environmental Stewardship or-ganization. Your farm share will be delivered to the back yard of the rectory every Tuesday afternoon. Bring your grocery bag and unload your bin of fresh veggies any time after 4pm to take home and enjoy. Take the CSA share quiz https://arocha.ca/where-we-work/brooksdale/brooksdale-csa/is-csa-for-me/ to de-termine if CSA is right for you. If you have any ques-tions, call 604-525-7425. - Margaret Ross

WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY
Every artist, every actor, every author, every sportsperson, every inventor wants that their talents be seen and appreci-ated by as many people as possible. In a globalized world this is possible. Of course, there is a monetary aspect in-volved. Marketable products are developed and produced with a cost and the money should be recovered as early as possible.
Jesus has laid the foundation for the Kingdom of God. All that Jesus does and says is towards building of the kingdom of God. For about thirty years Jesus has relentlessly worked towards it, prepared people to continue the work, has suf-fered for it, and even has died for it. Raised from the dead by his Father Jesus continues to guide and direct the Christian mission on earth. The World Communications Day that the Church keeps on Ascension Sunday is a step towards this.
The world’s communications medium should be used for the dissemination of the message of Christ, be it through radio, television programmes, internet, mobile phones or whatever other means that the modern world puts at the Church’s dis-posal. It is up to each member of the Church to do his/her bit towards it. May the Risen Lord bless our efforts!

Le 2 juin 2019 L’ASCENSION du SEIGNEUR C
Va!
Tu
nous as promis l’Esprit Saint : garde-
nous dans la joie de l’attendre et de
savoir que tu ne décevras pas notre
espérance. Nous te le demandons par
Jésus, ton Fils, notre Seigneur.
Amen.
