Awareness on Dengue Control (Oct. 1)
‘Red Roses’ intently watched the one-hour live
streaming of the program on dengue control
initiated by the D’te of Education. They
understood the significance of ‘10 hafte, 10 baje,
10 minute” to keep check on the deadly disease-
carrier’. A video shown in the program made it
clear that a once- in- a-week simple step of

emptying out the water that gets collected in containers can prove effective in eradication of
dengue as the larvae of Aedis Aegyptis breed in stagnant fresh water. The vigilance of the young
ambassadors against the blood -sucker in school and in their neighbourhood can drastically
lessen the cases of this vector-borne disease.
Hero TOI Green Drive (Oct. 3)

collaborative effort of DDA
and Centre for
Environmental Management of Degraded Ecosystem along with Hero TOI.
40 students of our school participated in plantation of saplings that consisted of over 40 species
of Mitragyna, Adina and Madhuca. Union Minister for Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri also
planted a ‘salai’ sapling and exhorted students to plant trees and nurture them to enjoy a clean
and healthy environment. Tree plantation being the immediate necessity to protect our
environment against air pollution and global warming, students enthusiastically participated in
the endeavor to make our environment safer, cleaner and healthier.
