RANCH AND FARM-STAY IN LAIKIPIA, KENYA Explore some of the most beautiful areas of Laikipia in both 4x4 vehicles and on foot.

Day 1 - Arrive by road to Olepangi Farm, driving through the beautiful Kikuyu Highlands, arriving in time for a hearty lunch. Spend the afternoon as you like. Perhaps a visit to see our donkeys and tortoises, explore the farm or just relax ready for sundowners followed by dinner down on the river by a roaring fire. With luck we’ll have a magnificent night of glorious stars and “whoops” from the local hyenas.

Day 2 - Early risers can watch the sunrise over the mountain. After breakfast our safari vehicle and guide will take you to Lolldaiga Hills Ranch, often referred to as the most beautiful ranch in all of Kenya. It is a great privilege that we have use of this private ranch for it is a wonder to behold. We’ll take our time enjoying the scenery and wildlife along the way. We’ll have a good chance of seeing elephant, giraffe, buffalo and, with luck, many other species. We’ll arrive in time for a late lunch followed by an evening game drive to our phenomenal sundowner spot.

Day 3 - Wake up to a cup of tea or coffee in bed, followed by a light breakfast of toast and muesli. We’ll then head off into a different direction enjoying the quiet and tranquility of this 49,000 acre private game reserve. There is also the option to walk out from camp with our guide and armed ranger. Walking is a great way to see the smaller details of the bush you often miss when in a vehicle. We will return to camp for lunch with plenty of time to relax. There’s always some wine on offer to encourage a little nap. For those feeling active why not climb one of the nearby ridge lines which is always rewarded with a fantastic view. This evening we will go on an evening drive with a spot light to see what is around just before dark, this is a perfect time to see predators which are less active during the day.

Day 4 - This morning we will get into the vehicle at first light to make the most of the cool air and greater game activity. We will stop for a break and bush breakfast before making our way back to camp in time for showers and a chance to relax before lunch. This afternoon we will explore on foot, going down to the eastern part of the ranch where caves with ancient rock art can be found. Sundowners will be ready after the walk returning to camp for dinner and stories around the campfire.

Day 5 - This morning, after breakfast in camp, we will drive back through different country, making our way through clouds of grass to plains dotted with cedar trees. While passing through woodlands, there's a possibility of finding big game again. Back at Olepangi Farm, there's time to shower before lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing with a book or take us on at a game of croquet!

Day 6 - Today you can enjoy a lie in and a relaxed final breakfast before your onward journey. Depending on your flight time you are welcome to join us for an extra lunch and enjoy the farm until you leave.
