The history of New Holland dates back to October 1872 with the humble beginning of the New Holland Machine Works in a one person Farm-Equipment Repair shop. New Holland has been associated with agricultural mechanization in India since the early 1950s. At that time its tractors were being imported into India.In the year 1969, a joint venture was established to manufacture tractors under the Ford brand name in India.1996-New Holland Fiat India established.1997-Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Plant at Greater Noida.

Packaging : Material used for Containing , protecting and presenting goods during delivery process from producer to consumer.Logistics : Logistics means having the right thing, at the right place, at the right time.

Why do we need Packaging?PROTECTION : Physical Protection from vibration , compression , temperature etc.BARRIER PROTECTION: From Dust, Water.CONTAINMENT : Grouping of parts together for efficiency.SECURITY : Reduce security risk of shipment.CONVENIENCE : In handing , distribution , opening , reclosing , use , reusing.

What is Required in Packaging?Quantity/Pack : Quantity per pack is desired. Ideally Air Space shouldnt be allowed.Weight : Weight of Part or Packaging Being transported need to be either 15 kg foe hand hold or 1000 kg max for equipment held.Material Used : Wastage reduction & Weather impact on material should be considered for designing.Standardization :Each supply must come in the same standardized , agreed packing.Stack ability :Design must be such as it can be stack one over another during transportation.
