Rahul Bajaj was born on June 10, 1938.

He comes from the business house started by the businessman Jamnalal Bajaj his father.

Bajaj was married to Ruparani and the couple have two sons, Rajiv Bajaj and Sanjiv Bajaj and a daughter, Sunaina Kejriwal.

EDUCATION

Sarkozy the French Ambassador Mr. Jerome Bonnafont presented the honor of ‘Knight in the Order of the Legion of Honor’ to the CEO of Bajaj Auto, Rahul Bajaj.

The French have numerous divisions in the Order and the title awarded to Rahul Bajaj is of the highest distinction.

The industrialist was given this honor in gratitude of his noteworthy career as a businessman, and for his successful management of Bajaj Auto.

Apart from this respect, the 72-year old industrialist has also been awarded the ‘Padma Bhushan’ by the Indian President in 2001.

Awards .In 1975, Mr. Bajaj received the "Man of the Year" award from the National Institution of Quality Assurance.

Mr. Bajaj was selected as Business India's Businessman of the year 1985. In 1988,

Mr. Bajaj was felicitated for his achievements in a public function by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Mr. Bajaj received the Bombay Management Association Award for the most distinguished services in the field of management in 1990.

Awards .FIE Foundation awarded Mr. Bajaj the Rastrabhushan Award in 1996.

Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust awarded Mr. Bajaj the Lokmanya Tilak Award in 2000.

Shri Bajaj was awarded the Jeevan Sadhana Gaurav Puraskar by the Pune University for 2002 and he was the first person to be inducted by the ICICI Bank and the leading automotive magazine,

Overdrive, in the Indian Automotive Hall of Pride - 2003.

Mr. Bajaj received both Economic Times and Ernst & Young Life Time Achievement Awards in 2004.
