Dr. Wendy A. Vogt is Professor of Anthropology at Indiana University – Purdue
University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her academic Interests include migration, vio-
lence, political Economy, transnational feminisms, borders & transit spaces, Mexico
and Latin America, among others. A Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, Dr. Vogt
is author of several important published works, including: “Stuck in the Middle with
You: Intimate Labors of Mobility and Human Smuggling along Mexico’s Migrant
Route (Geopolitics, 2016); “The War on Drugs is a War on Migrants” (Landscape of
Violence, 2015); and “Crossing Mexico: Structural Violence and the Commodifica-
tion of Undocumented Central American Migrants (American Ethnologist, 2013).
