Application for USA Visas

Payment ProcedureDocuments for the InterviewBasic Checks for Visa Applications


Payment Procedure To pay 7120/-in HDFC Bank in the form of demand draft.

6580/-is the visa processing charges. Demand Draft will be in favor of “US Embassy-Visa Fees” payable in Mumbai.

380/-is the VFS charges. Demand Draft will be in favor of “ HDFC Bank A/C VFS” payable in Mumbai.

HDFC Bank in Andheri, Mahalaxmi Mandir, Worli Naka and Nariman Point accept the same.

Passport’s 1stpage and Last page is required.

HDFC Bank generates 3 similar slips per application.

1stcopy (White) belongs to the bank.

2ndcopy (Pink) is for the applicant.

3rdcopy (Greenish) is submitted along with the forms to the VFS center.

Bank sticks barcode stickers on all the slips which will be used for scheduling the appointment for interview.

Barcode/Receipt is activated after 2 working days from the date of payment.


Documents for the Interview The following will have to be produced at the time of

interview along with relevant supporting documents:

Your passport(and your old passports).

Your application photo.

TheDS-160 CEAC barcode page (applicantwill not need thefull application).

The HDFC visa application fee receipts.

VFS appointment letter.

Petition-based visa applicants should bring petition-related documents.

Students and exchange visitors should bring their SEVIS receipts and I-120 (for F or M visas) and DS-2019 for J visas.


Basic Checks for Visa Applications All the columns should be filled.

Any column which do not have any information should be marked as N/A(Not Applicable) or FNU (Field Not Used) wherever applicable.

Address of applicant should be of within the jurisdiction of the Consulate.

Specification of the photograph should be as per the norms.

Details of previous U.S visa issued/rejected and previous travel to U.Sshould be accurate.

Copy of the passport (1stpage and last page, along with any observationpages), HDFC receipt, CEAC Barcode page of form DS-160, VFSappointment letter, petition-related documents for petition based visaapplication, SEVIS receipts and I-120 (for F or M visas) and DS-2019 for Jvisas for student visa will have to be submitted in the nearest VFS center 3working days prior to the scheduled appointment date of the interview.
