Question 4 - How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research planning and evaluation

stages?

Blogger First of all I have used blogger throughout my media video; it helped me refer to what I had previously planned. It helped me keep everything in order so when I needed to come to look at my pre-production it was easier to find. Blogger is a good way to insure that you don’t lose any important work or documents.

Premier Pro

This is an adobe programme where you can edit videos. This was the software I used to edit my music video. I have been using premier pro for a few years now and find it relatively easy to use therefore it was better for me to get the best quality video. You can add effects and is easy to accesses as this software is on all school computers.

Cannon Camera

I used this camera because it has a video setting. It auto focus and created high quality footage. This camera was touch screen therefore I was able to choose the bit I wanted to focus on and to stay focused on it though out that particular shot. This reduced the risk of my footage being out of focus when I came to edit my music video.

Google, Internet and YouTube

I used the Internet to find locations, look up costume ideas, and do all my research into indie rock. The research from the internet helped me a lot with my final music video as I knew what genre techniques I could use to make it as much like the indie rock genre.

Prezi

I used Prezi for various work such as my pre-production and evaluations. Prezi brings a more unique look works well without using something like word or power point.

Storyboard That

This is a website where you can make more in detailed storyboards instead of the usual drawing. You can add different background and make the characters move in the way you feel your music video is going to look like. This helped me a lot in doing my real music video and I could refer back and see where I was supposed to be. It also gave a better representation to the actress of what she had to do.

Slide Share

This was used to put all word and power point documents on my blogger as I is the easiest way to ensure everything is on you blog.

Photoshop

I used Photoshop to help complete my digi pack. I edited my photos to enhance change the colour and effects. I like using Photoshop as there is such a wide variety for options. Therefore you can make a photo that is not as good, better. Also I used Photoshop to add text.

Outlook Email

I used outlook email to get permission to use the artists music. It is a formal way of getting hold of someone and you are more likely to get a reply if you send a professional email.

All these programmes helped me construct my research, video and evaluations. Without these programmes I would have not been able to complete my work.
