HRLwasretainedtoauditthemanufacturer’sQualityManagementSystem,withparticularemphasison:• controlofrecordsanddocumentcontrol• resourcesandcapabilities• abilitytotracematerials• controlofnon-conformingproducts;aswellas• capacityandworkload

Theauditrevealedthemanufacturerhasarobustqualitymanagementsystemwithgooddocumentcontrolandmaterialstraceability.Resourcestrainingrecordsindicatedcapableandskilledpersonnel.CapacityandworkloadweretobediscussedatorderplacementasthemanufacturerhadcommitmentstofulfilorderfromAmerica.

Non-conformingproductsareidentified,isolatedandrepairedasperweld-repairprocedure.WeldrepairswereX-rayedtoconfirmquality.Aweldrepairmapwasproduced.

Giventheauditresults,HRLrecommendedthattheclientplacethecaststeelbogiesmanufacturerontheirrecommendedsupplierlist.
