QR Code Mobile Marketing

Getting Started Guide

A special gift from Warrior Ben

Please note: You have PLR rights to this product to sell to clients in the offline

world. You may not sell this product or the PLR rights to anybody else online

and you can NOT offer this as a freebie to other marketers. Ok, let’s get started!

Page 2: qr code

First off, congratulations on getting your QR Code Mobile Marketing

starter package! This quick guide is going to show you how to modify

the mobile website template to your specific liking.

I am not going to go into details about how to sell or marketing this

product, but if you are an experienced marketer, you should already

know these things. If you are a newbie, this is to help get you off the

ground and encourage you to take action!

I hope you find this guide helpful, but if you need clarification on

anything, please remember that Google is your friend! Pretty much any

question you have can be answered there, so take full advantage of

that resource.

Let’s get started with how to update the mobile website template. If

you are not familiar with HTML, fear not… the code is very simple and

easy to change. There are a few different things that you will need to

change when customizing the mobile website template for yourself.

These things are as follows:

• Header Graphic

• Name

• Title

• Headshot

• Biography

• Phone Numbers

• E-mail Address

• Location

• Contact Card

• Footers / Disclaimers

While this may seem like a lot, it is actually quite simple. I will go into

detail of all of these on the following pages. I assume you know how to

Page 3: qr code

install HTML files onto your hosting plan. If you don’t know, read the

documentation that your hosting provider has or Google it.

Header Graphic

To change the header graphic, you just need to find an image that you

want to use for the header and label it header.png. Put it into the

images folder to replace what is currently there. It will now show up

with you open up the mobile website.

I recommend using PNG files because they are quick to load and you

can have a negative background, meaning if there is nothing there, it

will show up as nothing, not as white or black.

If you do use a JPG file, make sure to change line 29 of the index.html

file to read:

<img src="images/header.JPG" class="image" />

Not…

<img src="images/header.png" class="image" />

One thing to remember is that you want your graphics to be no more

than 300 pixels wide. This will ensure that they will show up on pretty

much all smartphone screens.

Many times your clients will have their own logos already, but if you

need to make one for them, I recommend going to www.logosnap.com

and creating a free logo with their online logo maker. They ask for a

donation when you are done, but it isn’t necessary to get your final file.

Name

To change the name, go to line 33 of index.html and change “John Q.

Smith” to your name or whatever the name is of your client. This is

pretty straight forward.

Title

Same as before, but go to line 34 and change “Managing Partner” to

whatever title you want to use. You can also delete this line altogether

if you don’t want to have a title. It’s totally up to you.

Headshot

The recommend size for the headshot is 150 x 225. To add your own

headshot, save the files as headshot.jpg and add it into the images

folder and have it replace the sample headshot. If you want to use a

different filename then headshot.jpg, change line 36 of the index.html

file, which reads:

<img src="images/headshot.jpg"

To whatever name you want it to be.

Biography

On line 37 of index.html is a biography. Change this to a mini-bio of

yourself or your client. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, but it is

one of the selling points of this product because you can fit more

information about yourself than you could otherwise fit on a business

card.

Phone Numbers

There are spots for both Office Numbers and Mobile Numbers. Search

for 555.555.1234 in the index.html file and you will see where to

Page 5: qr code

change the numbers. The first number is for Call Office and the second

is for Call Mobile.

E-mail Address

Below the phone numbers, you will see where it says:

<a href="mailto:[email protected]" class="icobk"

id="emaillabel">E-mail Me</a>

Change “[email protected]” to whatever e-mail you want

to put there—either yours or your client’s.

Address (Google Maps)

Below the e-mail section is where you put in the address. To do this, go

to http://maps.google.com and search for the address you want to use.

On the top right-hand side you will see a link icon (to the right of a

printer & e-mail icon). Click the link icon and then copy the link of the

Google Map address. Search for maps.google.com in the index.html file

and then replace the new Google Maps link with the old one. Make

sure you scroll all the way over to delete the original link because it is

quite long.

Save to Contacts

First you will need to create a .VCF contact card. I generally do this in

Outlook, but you can search for it online and there are some good

online solutions. Make sure that the address of where you will be

locating your contact card is accurate. Search for

columbiapfg.com/warriors/demo in the index.html file and you will see

where to change it.

One other thing to note is that some phones have trouble downloading

VCF files (iPhone’s specifically), so it is a good idea to put the following

Page 6: qr code

code in your .htaccess file:

<Files *.vcf>

Header set Content-Disposition attachment

</Files>

This can be somewhat complicated if you don’t know what you are

doing, so I recommend doing a Google search for “download vcf file

htaccess” and you will find plenty of documentation on this.

Footers / Disclaimers

At the very bottom of the index.html file you can change the footers to

whatever text you like. Specifically for attorney’s and financial advisors,

they will need to have various disclosures.

How to Get a FREE QR Code

This is actually very simple. Once you have your mobile site uploaded to

your server and know that actual URL, go to http://qrcode.kaywa.com/

and put in your URL. Click generate and you will have a QR Code that

links to your mobile website!

Putting It All Together

I recommend that your first modifications of this template should be to

create a mobile website for yourself. This will really help you get clients.

Put the QR Code on your business cards and you will be ready to give

an instant demo no matter where you are.

Page 7: qr code

I have found that the power of the demo really works when selling this

product. While the main product you will be selling is the mobile

website, most people are more fascinated with the QR Code. They

don’t need to know that it is free to create—just make it a total

package deal that includes a mobile website and QR Code. Give them

digital copies of the QR Code and then can reprint at will.

You can use this product as a free giveaway to get your foot in the door,

but I would recommend selling it between $100 and $300. Once you

have made one sale to a client you can start offering them a variety of

other services.
