PUMPING YOU UP MESSAGE FROM THE CEO Welcome to the second issue of the Stancor newsletter Pumping You Up. The intent of this publication is to inform readers about the ongoing activities within Stancor to build excitement about the present and future. These are exciting times. Strong support from our Board continues to lead to investment in the business. That is apparent in new products, a stronger commitment to engineering and marketing, as well as an evolving sales organization designed to support our distribution partners and customers. This issue high- lights those initiatives including the additions of Steve Read, Central regional manager, and Jim Widrick, Northeast regional manager, to the Stancor sales team. The commitment to build a strong organization is a comprehensive effort—including inside sales from Monroe, CT, four regional sales managers, helpful support functions and a committed distribution network. Our steadfast desire to grow Stancor is starting to yield results. This is evident at G&G Controls. We added another control panel builder to manage the increase in demand from a wide range of applications including pharmaceutical research, rental fleets, wind farms and the continued expansion in utilities. A unique ability to develop comprehensive solutions continues to grow stronger. This month we shipped our first beta unit of the Duplex Multi-function Liquid Level Controller, a feature rich, off-the-shelf product that will create newfound efficiencies during installation, managing a field base and creating preventive maintenance programs. The expansion of our pump product lines is another encouraging sign of our growth. The recent introduction of our 60HP, 75HP and Trash dewatering pumps reflects our strategic focus on the Mining and Construction markets. These products are now in the field and performing well. While Mining has been a traditional focus for Stancor, we are excited about the opportunities and interest coming from the Construction markets—supporting rental fleets, as well as tunnel and bridge projects. Our desire to grow will be balanced by laser-like focus on specific markets. This will ensure we can expand in a balanced manner that is consistent with our value proposition based on unparalleled service. This approach speaks to our simple growth agenda: 1) to diversify the markets we serve across the USA and Canada beyond Coal Mining and 2) to invest in engineering and new product introductions that result in pumps and controls that make the users of our equipment more profitable. Thank you for your continued support in our shared journey. Enjoy reading about the building blocks being assembled to support our growth ambition. Sincerely, Bill Tipton, Chief Executive Officer Q1 2017 BUILDING TRADES | CONSTRUCTION | MINING | UTILITIES | WASTEWATER

SME, an annual show sponsored by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, took place in Denver, Colorado February 19-22. The show was an opportunity for Stancor to confirm its dedication to Mining by introducing several new products:

• 60HP and 75HP Series pumps: extension of Stancor’s core offering in Mining. These larger products, which are available already with CSA and MSHA approvals, better allow Stancor’s product line to service industry needs.

• Solids Handling Vortex (trash) pumps: Stancor designed product intended for applications subject to solids, commonly referred to as “trash”, intermixed with the liquid that needs to be pumped. Similar to P- and S-Series product, the line is made in the US and has CSA and MSHA approvals.

These products provide additional breadth to Stancor’s comprehensive Mining industry selection, further expanding Stancor’s Dewatering products. The trash pumps generated a large amount of interest based on their innovative design. This coincides with positive field performance from the initial units recently placed in applications. Stancor looks forward to have more news to report at next year’s show in Minneapolis.

stancor makes First appearance at coneXPoThe construction industry descended on Las Vegas March 7-11 for CONEXPO. The show, which is held every three years, drew more than 130,000 attendees to see over 2,800 exhibitors spread across 2.8 million square feet of space.

The five-day event allowed Stancor to meet engineers, contractors and other manufacturers from around the world. And, in many cases, introduce the features that differentiate Stancor products to construction industry professionals looking for an alternative for pumping solutions.

“It was a great experience to see that many potential customers,” said Paul Hauck. “Feedback from attendees, many of whom saw our products for the first time, reinforced that our Dewatering products are a unique offering that provide a lot of value.”

Stancor can envision what its booth will look like in 2020 when the next CONEXPO is held. Surely, there will be more new products to review given Stancor’s commitment to innovation with its Dewatering line.

Jim Widrick

Jim will manage the Northeast Region from his residence in Mansfield, Ohio. He was previously the general manager at E-Pump after a 20-year career at Gorman Rupp. Nearly 30 years of experience in the pump industry also includes a position at Thomas & Associates, which

is now an authorized Stancor distributor. Jim holds degrees from Northampton College, the College of Marin and the University of Phoenix.

We’re thrilled to welcome Steve and Jim to the Stancor team. Our organization continues to evolve with the goal of exceeding your expectations for product and service performance.

Steve Read

Steve, who lives in Chicago, Illinois, will manage the Midwest Region. He joins us from Grindex Pumps, LLC where he held the position

of Regional Sales Manager. Steve also held technical sales positions with American Biltrite, George Fischer, Inc. and Ameron International. A bachelor’s degree in political science from Texas Lutheran University also laid the foundation for experience in education and real estate.

Stancor continues to add resources to enhance the service it provides customers. The illustration, first introduced in the last newsletter and now complete, shows how the sales team is evolving.

The addition of Arjun Shanmugam has allowed Paul Hauck to be more accessible for application consultation and also spend more time in the field. And, now, the two new regional managers—Steve Read and Jim Widrick—further our ability to serve customers. Steve and Jim will work remotely, in their respective territories, to increase our reach and facilitate communications between customers and Stancor headquarters in Monroe, Connecticut.

A revised stancorpumps.com website was introduced in February. This is the culmination of work by engineering to upgrade technical documents and the creation of consistent imagery, including the brand and tagline, to build Stancor’s value proposition. The foundation has now been laid to create a dynamic source of information through the continued addition of promotional materials and technical data.

The homepage features a series of links designed to offer easy access to company background and product information. Users will find the industries Stancor serves, application photos, the Tappan Zee Bridge case study, authorized distributors and company background.

The most important aspect of the new site is the updated technical materials. Product information can be found via: 1) the products link at the top of the homepage, 2) the Our Products section in the right column of the home page and 3) in the footer on every page. Products are split into Pumps and Controls. The Pumps section features: 1) Dewatering, 2) Solids Handling and 3) Specialty Materials. The Controls section has two segments: 1) G&G Controls and 2) Oil Minder.

Each product section in the pump portfolio has its own page. Product series pages feature the following for each model: technical data, curves, dimensions, specifications and, if available, datasheets. Those documents can either be viewed online or downloaded. The Oil Minder section provides access to a video, datasheets and technical documents, separated by pump, that can be used in submittals.

Please continue to check the site regularly as new materials will continue to be added.
