ImagesThere are eight images on the page, varying in sizes. All of them are boxed except for the picture of Noodle, from the animated band Gorillaz, which is the largest picture there which draws the eye. All of the pictures seem to be on location, except for the picture of Wayne Rooney vs. Kelly Jones as the black background could easily be a a backdrop. There is a wide range of locations used including a road and a wall which demonstrates a large variety of genres. We cannot say exactly that the picture of Noodle can be a studio or on location shot as she is a drawing. However, we could say that it is a studio shot as it was drawn in a studio.

Some of the images link to articles that have been talked about on the page, such as the picture of Clint Eastwood for the article on page number 54. There is a small description of the article in the Regulars section, underneath the title specifying it is a Q hero. The most eye-drawing picture on the page is linked to an article next to it on the page, which explains the reason that Noodle has become an odd gun creature. The drawing is not surprising to fans of the band as the band are often creating odd storylines for their music.

LayoutDue to the large, odd nature of the largest picture on the page, the readers attention is directed towards the article about the band Gorillaz. The page number is also the largest one on the page and the article itself is next to it. We can assume that this was the cover story as it is the largest picture on the page. We can also tell, as the cover itself is in the top right hand corner.The contents page is ordered into two sections- Features and Regulars- and is very uniformed due to the parallel nature of the columns. However, the angles of some of the photos and the variation in sizes make the pictures seem in more a scrapbook format than a uniformed one. However, this gives the magazine a homely feel.

Neither of the columns are particularly noticeable due to the small sized font. It is the pictures that the reader is forced to focus on, so that the reader only needs to find a picture they like or has someone they know in to find an article that they would like to read.

SectionsThe titles of the two sections are in a white serif font on a small red background. The headings and sub-headings are in the same serif font and are larger than the section titles. They are black on white. The sub-headings are not bold or capitalized to differentiate them from the headings. The numbers are on the same line as the headings, on the left hand side. Each article is separated by a large red line. The colour scheme is red, white and black. Due to the brightness of the red, the magazine stands out and seems more exciting while still being uniform.

The cover story is identified as the cover itself is put in the right hand corner of the page. There doesn’t seem to be any social media/ publishing/ subscription data or headers or footers. There is a small section with a review which, rather than being a page long, is a small paragraph. This allows the reader to have a quick overview of the style the magazine will be written in.
