Project Engineering and Documentation Manager

The online Project Engineering and Documentation Manager System can be accessed at

http://10.23.55.8/dms/default.asp (intranet link) or http://202.191.228.204/dms/default.asp

(internet link).

The Master Drawing/Document List for the project is fed into the database. The

manufacturing units submit their respective drawings/documents through the system. The

consultant hired by the customer then approves or disapproves the drawings/documents.

The drawings that are disapproved then appear pending for resubmission in the

manufacturing units’ login.

There are 3 types of documents uploaded by the units:

1. Drawing

2. Quality Plan

3. Vendor Approval List

Manufacturing Unit’s Login: The following is the manufacturing unit’s (Rudrapur) home page:

First Submission Pending: This page shows the various drawings/documents to be uploaded by the manufacturing unit logged

in. The drawings/documents can be uploaded by clicking on the respective “Upload” link under the

“Upload Drg/Doc” column.

The following page opens on clicking the “Upload” link:

The unit can enter remarks, BHEL Job No. and Reference No.

Clicking on “Next” opens the following page, letting the unit upload a maximum of 15 file

Re-Submission pending: This page shows the drawings/documents submitted by the manufacturing unit but rejected by the

consultant due to some reason. Hence, these drawings/documents have to be uploaded again by the

manufacturing unit after making necessary changes.

Pending for Approval (With Customer/Consultant): This page shows the drawings/documents submitted or re-submitted by the unit but pending for

approval with the consultant.

Submitted I-Cat Drawings / Documents: This page shows the drawings/documents uploaded by the unit for the sake of consultant’s

information.

View/Download Drawings/Documents Available in System: The unit can view/download the drawings/documents available in the system for the unit/division

and type of drawing/document selected.

Master Drawing/Document List: This page lets the unit to see the Master Drawing List for the unit/division selected.

Update Remarks: This page lets the unit update remarks for any of the drawings/documents.

View Transmittals: This page lets the unit view the transmittal notes for drawings/documents.

Mailbox: This page lets the unit view mails received from other users.

Change Password: This page lets the user change system password.

This page shows the drawings/documents belonging to the information category whose first

submission is pending with the manufacturing units.

Information Category Drawings / Documents: Pending For Comments:

This page shows the drawings/documents belonging to the information category which have

been submitted by the manufacturing units and whose remarks are pending with the

consultant.

remarks have been submitted by the consultant.

View/Upload Compliance Report: This page can be used to view/upload compliance reports.

Master Drawing/Document List: This page lets the consultant view the master drawing/document list of the unit/division selected:
