24. Air Quality Impact Prediction (AQIP)*

Fugitive dust emissions have been estimated using the methodologies outlined in theAP-42 (USEPA) and National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) Emission Estimation TechniqueManual (EET) for Mining Version 2.3 (DEH 2001) (Australia). Air quality impacts from theexisting and proposed mining and processing operations have been assessed using thecomputer dispersion model (AERMOD), developed by US EPA. It is a statistical Gaussianplume model that requires a time series of both meteorological and source emissiondata.
