Novus Hi-TempWhen application temperaturesexceed the limits of exfoliatedgraphite, the end user has arecourse to a number of specialistjointing materials which maintaintheir integrity at temperatures upto 1000 oC.

Novus Hi-Temp is a speciallydeveloped sealing material capableof maintaining a long term seal attemperatures to 1000 oC.

It is available in sheet form,reinforced with a stainlesssteel tanged insert or as afiller for spiral woundgaskets or camprofiles,often in combination withoxidation resistantgraphite.

Novus Uniflon is a comprehensiverange of modified PTFE sealingproducts designed for applicationswhere chemical resistance isparamount or where food safetyis a requirement.

Our materials represent the latestgeneration of filled biaxially orientatedPTFE sealing materials combiningoutstanding chemical resistance withexcellent sealing performance.

Corrugated Metal Gaskets consist of a corrugated metalcore, normally stainless steel, with a soft facing layer applied to each face. The corrugationsprovide resilience and reduce thesealing surface area of the gasketwhile the soft layer ensures

outstanding sealing,even at low loads. Thesegaskets are particularlysuited to heat exchangerapplications as areplacement to metaljacketed gaskets.

Camprofile Gaskets

Ring Type Joints are widely used by the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical andOffshore Industries in applicationssubject to high pressures.

These joints are designed toconcentrate the bolt load over a small area thus producing high seatingstresses. As the ring type materialshould always be softer than themating flanges, the high seating stresscauses ‘plastic-flow’ of the ring jointat the flange faces creating the seal.

We hold stocks of soft ironand stainless steel, oval andoctagonal. Other exoticmaterial can be manufacturedto meet specific customerrequirements.

Metal jacketed gaskets consistof a soft filler encapsulated in a metallic material. The fillermaterial provides the gasket with compressibility and resiliencewhile the jacket conferscompressive strength and blow out resistance.

Novus Camprofile gasketsare the ideal product choice for standard pipeline and heatexchanger applications. Theyprovide the highest levels ofsealing integrity but with theability to seal at seating stressesnormally associated with sheetmaterials. Camprofiles are able to cope with fluctuatingtemperatures and pressuresmaking them the gasket of choicefor heat exchanger service. The product can also be used time and again when refurbished.

Jacketed gaskets can beproduced in a variety ofconfigurations making them agood choice for heat exchangersapplications. A wide range ofjacket and filler materials areavailable to suit every servicecondition.

Waste is intelligently recycled. Novus has developed products and processes that allow scrap from production to be utilised inspecially formulated sheet grades.Calendaring process waste isrecycled and forms a large portion of a number of grades, including one of our 5G materials Novus 45.

Novus also segregate, reuse andrecycle through dedicated wastestreams and we aim to reduce ourenvironmental impact throughenergy saving and sustainablerecycling initiatives.

The Novus Centre of Excellence for cutcomponents is a worldclass facility for theproduction of non-metallic and metallicparts.

The centre is uniquely placed withinthe market; offering manufacturingexcellence expected of a cut gasketsupplier, with the high qualityknowledge and technical supportassociated with a sheet and PTFEmaterial producer. The centre usesLaser and Atom Flash Cad basedcutting to produce a wide range ofcomponents including non-metallicgaskets, shims, signs, pattern partsand other precision items.

Lasered parts offer a number ofadvantages over componentsmanufactured with other cuttingtechniques; they can be supplied inthicknesses to 0.001” or 0.025mmand have a more consistent andsuperior edge finish.

Atom Flash cutting allows rapidproduction of both simple andcomplex components andautomatically nests the parts to achieve the highest materialutilisation. Since we are able tomanufacture our own sheet andPTFE materials, non-standardmaterials and thicknesses can be accommodated quickly.

Both services are available 24 hours, seven days a week.
