PRODUCTION SCRIPT Preservation by Sundeep Singh Video Audio The first scene will involve an establishing shot of the Heath Park building and it will clearly identify the short films setting. There will be a mid shot and a close up of the Dealer who is walking along the street to the school. After this there will be a POV, shot Of Alex King who walks up the entrance. At this point, King is handed the pill so there is a close up shot of the POV, when he is giving him the pill. This shot will also pan back and forth to his face and this will show King emotions, as he is nervous and cautious about talking to strangers. This next scene will be a quick CU of Kings face and his hand as he puts the pill Dealer: ‘Hey, hey wait wait…’ Alex King: ‘Who are you?’ Dealer: ‘Just take it! Ok’ Dealer: ‘Hey, hey wait wait…’ Alex King: ‘Who are you?’ Dealer: ‘Just take it! Ok’ Alex King: “ What did you say?’’ Adam Jones: “Mate, you're just dreaming...'' - Alex King: “What are we doing'' ''Oh, Ok. Great''

PRODUCTION SCRIPTPreservation by Sundeep Singh

Video AudioThe first scene will involve an establishing shot of the Heath Park building and it will clearly identify the short films setting.

There will be a mid shot and a close up of the Dealer who is walking along the street to the school.

After this there will be a POV, shotOf Alex King who walks up the entrance.

At this point, King is handed the pill so there is a close up shot of the POV, when he is giving him the pill. This shot will also pan back and forth to his face and this will show King emotions, as he is nervous and cautious about talking to strangers.

This next scene will be a quick CU of Kings face and his hand as he puts the pill into his pocket still outside.

After this the next scene will be in the entrance of the school and this INT. will be a tracking shot of King, and he is walking through the entrance in the morning and he quickly takes the pill.This will be a close up of King taking the pill.

This shot will be King walking at a moderately slow pace to his first lesson (Spanish) and it will be a slow side pan that goes into a close up shot of his opening the door into the classroom.

Dealer: ‘Hey, hey wait wait…’

Alex King: ‘Who are you?’

Dealer: ‘Just take it! Ok’

Dealer: ‘Hey, hey wait wait…’

Alex King: ‘Who are you?’

Dealer: ‘Just take it! Ok’

Alex King: “What did you say?’’

Adam Jones: “Mate, you're just dreaming...'' -

Alex King: “What are we doing''''Oh, Ok. Great''

Alex King: “This is just great, isn’t it’’

This will be a close up shot of one of the other students in the class as they are having a conversation in the morning.

The next shot in school will be a cut away after lesson and it will show a general conversationMid shot as Jones speaking.Close up of his facial expressions.Mid shot as the teacher starts the next lesson.

Cut back to the hospital sequenceOver the shoulder shot of the doctor in the hospital as KING is in the hospital bed – Flashback.

Cut to Coronation RoadClose up shot of King

POV shot from Kings desk.Over the shoulder shot as the Dealer spots Alex and he follows him.

Tracking shot as the Dealer spots Alex.The teacher will be taking the register and this will be a tracking shot in the room and will be an over the shoulder shot

Cut to the flash forward sequence back in the hospital.Close up of the sign of the buildingClose up of the heat monitor as it slowly stops.

Students: “What happened to KING, where’s Alex....”

Teacher: ‘’Alex isn’t in today..Is he?...’’

Adam Jones: ''Nah, he's in hospital, Sir

Teacher: ''Poor child, he's completely lost it'' -

' Alex King - 'Heey...'' - (speaking to himself).

Dealer: ''You're not intelligent'' Alex King: '’Just can't do this anymore!''

The Dealer: ‘'I'm not surprised''

The Dealer: ''I'm just telling you that..''

Sound of the heart monitor. Sounds of patients in the hospital. Non-diegetic sounds of the outside. environment as the wind is open for example the traffic outside.Sound of the ambulance approaching. Sound of the door closing.
