#PrivateHealthcarelaingbuissonevents.com

A Very Warm Welcome

And thank you for joining us for the 24th annual LaingBuisson Private Acute Healthcare Conference.

And, it has to be said, the first of our conferences to be held virtually! The agenda for this year’s conference was set well back in February at a time when few would have predicted our current circumstances.

As ever it seeks to address some of the big strategic issues affecting the sector, from lack of top-line growth to patient safety to which areas and business models will win out in what remains an ever-changing internal dynamic.

Yet we will also have time to discuss the potential impacts, both short-term and long-term, that the current crisis will have on the sector.

Will Covid-19 be a springboard for change? Will there be a re-set of private healthcare once it is all over? Will healthtech innovation accelerate? Will patients want to come (back) to private insurance and private hospitals? Once again, we are delighted that some of the leading industry executives from customers, insurers, operators and clinicians are joining us in our morning plenary sessions to discuss the big issues. Taken all together, we hope we’ve provided lots of food for thought about the current situation as well as how you take your business to the next level once this is all over.

We would very much like to thank our Lead Sponsor Bevan Brittan and all other exhibitors and sponsors for helping us put on this event.

And here’s hoping that this year will be the last of our virtual conferences and that next year we’ll meet again.

Stay safe.

Ted Townsend LaingBuisson
