Parents attended for the formal part of the evening where our Year 6 students were presented with their graduation certificates. Their Year 5 peers were invited to attend a disco after the formal dinner. Thank you to all of the teachers who assisted in the organisation and especially Miss Cameron who was the co-ordinating teacher for the event. This Friday is the end of term Principal Awards Assembly. Apart from issuing these prestigious awards, our new school captains for 2018 will be announced. Nominated candidates for these positions all had the opportunity to formally present a speech to students and staff last week. A voting process was then undertaken and yesterday, these votes were counted by Miss McKrell and our P&C president, Mrs Singh. Next Monday 11 December, we will be hosting our end of year Celebration of Learning. As this will be the last Broadcaster for 2017, I would like to wish all families a safe and happy holiday season as

we approach our Christmas break. It has been wonderful for me to reconnect with the school over the past twelve months and I look forward to working with staff and parents to collaboratively develop our vision and school plan for the next three years.

School will resume for Years 1–6 on Tuesday 30 January. Kindergarten will

commence their first official day at school on Friday 2 February. Prior to this,

they will be individually spending time with a teacher assessing their early literacy

and numeracy competencies as part of the “Best Start” initiative.

Enjoy the week ahead!

Trish Hagan, Principal

Thank you to all the students who have returned their library

books. Unfortunately, there are still a large amount still outstanding. Would you please ensure all books are returned to the library by

Thursday 7th December or an invoice will be sent out to cover the

replacement cost.

Ms Krohn, Teacher Librarian

Would you please ensure the return of the Class Placement note for

2018. This is extremely important, especially if your child is returning after 30
