I’m a mommy to 4 amazing little humans who rock my world and keep me busy every second of every beautiful day. I love my family, my life, and the opportunity to be part of your life through my love of photography. I obsess over back-lit images that are captured best at sunset. I’m absolutely, completely, 100% obsessed with life.

If I’m not working, you’ll usually find me curled up on the couch getting lost in a good book. Snuggling my kiddos is my life. Family vacations, the mountains, new adventures. I love it ALL. Coffee.. it completes me. Love me a good glass of red beer though too, or a spiced up bloody Mary. It is Nebraska right!?!?! I was born and raised in Western Nebraska, transplanted to beautiful Kearney. I’m a pleaser and a lover, a crazy perfectionist free-spirit wannabe. I’m gonna be honest and say I’m more perfectionist than artsy, but my passion falls somewhere in between.

My soul truly skips a beat every time I edit a session and watch the families love show thru. Love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life. I want to capture all the moments that make your family’s world go around. The kisses and snuggles, the laughter, the glances between mommy and daddy, intimate moments between daddy’s and daughters.... hand holding and hugs. I always tell my kiddos I’m going to “tickle em until they toot” and there is nothing more I want to capture than a little of your “toots” as well.

How do I book a Session?To book a session, fill out my contact form on my website, directly taking you through my booking process to pay your deposit. A limited number of sessions are available each month, Shoot me an email for availability or to answer any additional questions!

Where will the session take place?As reflected in most of my work, my favorite spots for families and children are a natural outdoor location with lots of space, maybe a little tall grass, and beautiful backgrounds. We will chat in detail before your session to discuss what works best with your outfits and family. Until your session is booked, I do not disclose locations as I spend lots of time finding the perfect spots that reflect my style specifically.

Newborn sessions and children milestone appointments (during cold weather months) are shot in my studio. Lifestyle sessions are shot in your home, your favorite park, or ice cream shop doing your favorite activity. We’ll be making a master plan once we talk more before your session!

What should we wear?The million dollar question. Once you’ve booked, you will get a LOT of emails. Lots of information. Prep info. Styling info. It’s all there. Styling for your session is included in your fee and I’m here to help!!! You are not alone. This is HARD, but important. You will get plenty of assistance with styling and preparation to make your session 100% perfect.

What if I can’t keep my appointment?Things happen, and sometimes there is no way to avoid rescheduling for illness or weather. I ask for 48 hour advance notice wherever possible so I can fill my calendar. I reserve the right to reschedule the session for less than desirable circumstances. If you decide to proceed with the session and we have to reschedule, a rebooking fee of $50 applies. If we have to reschedule, due to weather, sessions are rebooked with priority scheduling. If a client reschedules more than 1x, their retainer is forfeited.

How many family members can I bring?My portrait sessions should include immediate families only. I no longer can accommodate extended family sessions within my schedule, but all immediate family members are welcome. For Petite sessions, if you have 5+ family members, it may be more difficult to include lots of individual images within the time frame, but there is no limit on family members.

When will I see the Photos?A few days after your session, a couple sneak peeks will be posted to social media. Please feel free to share these with family and friends (but don’t print, edit or “filter” these in any way).

For petite sessions, a proofing gallery is sent to you within 10 days of your session for you to choose the 20 files included. For Luxe Sessions, editing includes all of the images and typically requires additional time.

Turn around time for your session edits to be completed is 2-4 weeks. During peak times, this might be closer to 4 weeks but every effort is made to ensure you get them as quickly as possible.

What if I want to get all the photos?It happens. If you had a petite session, but decide later that you can’t narrow down your favorites and want to get all the files, you can do that. The same Luxe Session fee is charged minus what you have paid for the Petite Session. At that time, all files will be edited and sent to you just as they would for a full Luxe Session.

Can I print the photo’s somewhere else? A print authorization is included with your images. I strongly encourage clients to print with mpix.com as the print quality is comparable to a professional lab.

How can I pay?Clients can make payments via their invoice with a debit or credit card for the deposit, however cash or check is required for the remaining balance at the session. As a small business owner, fee’s can eat up my bottom line quickly, so Cash or check is preferred for all payments.

Outdoor family sessions occur from April 1st through October only. All sessions include session planning guide,

styling assistance and a set number of digital files. Deposit/Sitting fee due to hold spot on calendar. All weekend sessions are booked at a $50 premium over weekday sessions. This fee will be added to your final invoice.

l i f e s t y l e s e s s i o n Lifestyle sessions are documentary style sessions that are captured in your home, your favorite ice cream shop, or favorite location. Lasting 60 - 90 minutes, this is the perfect chance to capture YOUR family and who you all really are, doing the things you love. We will communicate prior to your session, planning outfits, making plans for activities during your session and making the day perfect.
