STAR ON THE RISE: Emma Louise
Nothing screams, “I made it” like having your own song featured on a high-‐end brand’s commercial, and that’s exactly what Aussie born Emma Louise had accomplished by the young age of 21. The song, “Jungle” (My Head Is A Jungle) was used on a 2014 ad for Yves Saint Laurent’s “Black Opium” perfume. The commercial, which oozed sleek independence, dominance and lonely luxury, played almost an entire minute of Emma Louise’s hit song.

Since the release of her debut album, “VsHeadVsHeart” in 2013, she has been tirelessly touring, including being a supporting act for Sam Smith in New Zealand; she has been drawing inspiration and finishing her next release, which should come our way sometime soon. On June 19th, she dropped a hint at new music with a video of her dog, saying, “Scout is wanting to hear the new album. I said she might have to wait until it's at least mastered... She's so impatient.” Jungle, the song featured in the Yves Saint Laurent ad, was released in 2011 and peaked at #3 on the French charts that year. Then, released as “My Head Is A Jungle” in 2013, peaked on twice as many charts as the previous and was certified ITA 2x platinum. With that success, it’s easy to say we’re pretty excited to hear what is coming our way from the ambient-‐pop artist.
