Qu6. What have I learnt about the technologies from the process of

constructing this project?

Twitter was useful throughout the entire project due to the fact we took advantages of this social platform to distribute our film and to keep up to date with the world, on recent media events.

Twitter has allowed me to follow others are partake in giving my opinions on recent events. From this I received inspiration from leading companies such as BFI, from this giving me further knowledge into the media world.

TWITTER

Throughout our entire project the “Apple Mac” has played an essential role. It has allowed me to research, file away key documents and most importantly edit my film opening ‘Zest’. From this it has been the most important piece of technology due to the fact it has access to a whole range of platforms.

APPLE MAC- Desktop

BLOGGER Blogger- this is my platform on which I present all my coursework from researching new ideas to show what new media I have incorporated into my project. You can quickly easily see ideas and paths you go down in order to make the final piece. From this blogger was helpful in logging all the work we accomplished in a diary format.

PREZI During the project I used Prezi to present numerous different things. Prezi allowed me to present things in a fast and effective way due to the fact it enables you to add photos, YouTube videos and hyperlinks, therefore letting the viewer learn off a whole range of different platforms. Prezi has been useful to me seeing as it fast and to the point when it comes to getting a message across.

DIGITAL CAMERA

• We used Cannon 550D camera to do all of our filming which means it was a vital piece of equipment for our film opening. Using a HD camera it gave our product a clear cut finish, which was easily editable on ‘premiere pro’

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop was useful when it came to the distribution part of my project. From this we had to make our film posters, website and P&A poster. This was a vital tool, as it allowed me to edit photographs at a professional standard.

Adobe After effectsAdobe after effects allowed me to produce an ident which have my film title an interesting affect. Adobe after affect was not easy to use but with the help from other platforms it helped me to tackle these problems. It was useful in attracting and enticing my audience further.

YouTube • YouTube has been very

useful throughout the whole of the process of my product. It has allowed me to research into numerous different videos so that it could influence the end result of my film opening. E.g. The film opening “Delicatessan” inspired me to open the film with titles on culinary objects and be about food.

Facebook • Facebook has helped me with the process of the product in two different ways. It has helped me distribute the film and build awareness from the public due to the fact it is such an big social platform. Another way to Facebook has helped me is through the instant communication with team mates, thus made our planning more efficient.

Slideshare

• Slide share is an easy, fast and effective way in which you can present your work accomplished. From this I used it to present my power point in this format to get my message across to the viewer. Slide share was useful in my opinion due to it being flexible in what way you would like to publish it.
