EMIS● Information is the basis of management, planning and evaluation

of an education system. ● EMIS should collect data, store data and process information

related to all the aspects of education including the human, physical, educational information.

● EMIS should inform the different actors and partners on the state of the sector, its internal and external efficiency, its pedagogical and institutional operation, its performance, shortcomings and needs.

● EMIS should support policy and decision-makers and other planning managers need clear, easy to interpret comprehensible documents, accompanied by relevant analyses on which to base their policies.

to the NP education● Encourage teachers to publish research works in peer

reviewed journals● Work with organization like Jaffna Science Association

(JSA) to improve the research skills– Recently, PDE and ZDE worked with JSA to conduct research

methodology workshops for principals in the NP.

● Closely work with other educational institutions including graduate faculty of the University of Jaffna to conduct more research studies
