Subject: Filling up the posts of Director General of All India Radio andDoordarshan. New Delhi by promotion I deputation basis - regarding.

Sir,

I am directed to say that the posts of Director General of All India Radio andDoordarshan in the pay scale of Rs. 75500/- (annual increment @ 3%) - 80000/- areproposed to be filled up by promotion/deputation. The eligibility conditions of theappointment are given in Annexure- I.

2. The pay and allowances of the officers selected on deputation basis will be subject tosuch regulations as may be prescribed by Prasar Bharati.

3. It is requested that the particulars in the enclosed proforma (in duplicate) of thewilling and eligible officers, who could be spared in the event of selection, may please be sentto this Organisation addressed to the undersigned within 21 days from the date of issue ofthis vacancy circular along with their complete CR dossiers (up-to-date) / photocopies of last 5years ACRs / APARs duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary andvigilance clearance with the certification that no disciplinary proceedings or criminalproceedings are either pending or contemplated against the officer concerned. In addition, anIntegrity Certificate and List of major/minor penalties, if any, imposed on the candidate duringthe last ten years/No penalty certificate duly signed by an officer not below the rank ofDeputy Secretary should also be sent. The applications of officers received without the ACRs /APARs, or which contain incomplete information, or received after the due date will not beentertained. The candidates who volunteer to be considered will not be allowed to withdrawtheir names later. The candidates who have already applied for the posts circulatedvide letter No.A-10/193/2013-PPC dated 18.11.2013 and letter No.A-10/213/2013-PPC dated 24.12.2013 need not re-apply.

4. It is requested that this may be circulated to all the eligible officers in theMinistry/Department, State/Union Territory and the nominations of the eligible and willingcandidates may be forwarded to this Organisation through proper channel by the stipulateddate along with all the required documents.

Note:(1) Officers of the Senior Administrative Grade of

Broadcasting (Programme) service with threeyears' regular service in the grade shall also beconsidered along with applicants forappointment on deputation terms and in caseany of them is selected, the post shall bedeemed to have been filled in by promotion.

(2) For the purpose of promotion, eligibility list ofSenior Administrative Grade Officers belongingto Programme Management cadre ofAkashvani, Programme Production cadre ofAkashvani, Programme Management cadre ofDoordarshan and Programme Production cadreof Doordarshan of Broadcasting (Programme)Service shall be prepared on the basis of theirdate of appointment on regular basis subjectto the condition that the inter-se-seniority intheir respective cadres shall be maintained. Incase there are more than one officerappointed on the same date, their placementin the eligibility lists will be determinedaccording to their date of birth, on theprinciple of "Older the Senior".

(3) The crucial date for determining the eligibilityof officers for promotion shall be 1st January ofthe preceding year of vacancy(ies)

(4) Departmental officers shall not be eligible forappointment on deputation basis.

(5) Period of deputation including period ofdeputation in another ex-cadre post heldimmediately preceding this appointment shallordinarily not exceed 3~ears.
