Here are some tips and things to know for your shootso that we can acheive the best images possible.

Most shoots are on location. I like to shoot late afternoon in order to get the best possible lighting about 3pmand will last approximately 2 hours. It is recommended that you eat something light priort to the shoot in order to keep energy levels up. Hair and makeup will be done 1 hour prior to shooting.

Clothing ChoicesChoosing your wardrobe for a photo shoot can often seem like a daunting task so here are some tips to help you in the right direction. We do want to capture your personal style and personality, however, please try to put some thougput some thought and attention into your outfit choices. Try to keep clothing and undergarments flattering to your body type. We want to see your beautiful curves but a little mystery goes a long way! Conservative patterns work just fine for girls however, guys should try to keep to solid colors. Remember that accessories can also make a particular look so don't forget to consider wearing a fun and funky piece to really reflect your personality and style! Adding layers and accessories like jackets, legwarmers, sunglasses, hats, scarves, etc. can really add fashionable flair. And theres no need to be conservative. Bring along your favorite floral prprint skirt, fedora, feathered hair piece or leather jacket! Remember, this is your photo shoot and you are the star...rock it like you mean it!!

PropsWe may occasionally use small props here and there but we love when clients bring something of their own which really reflects who they are! Especially when doing an editorial shoot, if you are a dancer, bring your own ballet slippers or favorite rehearsal sweats. If you are a football player, your jersey with your number or well worn football. If you are a writer, your mac book and reading glasses. If you are a cigar aficionado and Renaissance man, your favorite cigar, cognac and Hemingway novel. You get the idea!

SShooting StyleWhen I work with clients, I like the atmosphere to be fun and laid back! I dont yell at subjects (unless they are really far away!) and you will often see me doing silly things (silly is the new cool) and doing ninja like acrobatics to get a particular shot. I will focus on creating artistic and modern imagery which pulls in elements of fashion, editorial and fine art photography.

Hair & MakeupPart of our studio experience is a full hair and makeup, makeover. Please be sure to come with clean hairand no makeup, if possible. We promise, we’ll make you look faboulous! Feel free to bring pictures showing the style of makeup you would like. We usually suggest a natural, elegant look.
