• Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto in the Lowell Observatory in Arizona.
• He discovered Pluto in 1930 when he built his first telescope.
• Pluto was thought to be the Roman god whom all men must go to.
• This is a picture of Pluto’s

Planet Appearance
•Pluto looks very icy and rocky.
•It also has traces of methane and carbon monoxide ice on it.
Exploration
• On February 14 1990, a spacecraft had passed the orbit of Neptune and Pluto.
• The cameras of Voyager 1 snapped a series of pictures of the sun and planets.
