Continue the Benefits of
2018 Ministry Equipping Conference
The first week in February Pacific Islands University provided the 2018 Ministry Equipping Conference. The theme was “Making Disciples in Guam and Micronesia Churches.” PIU veteran educator and missionary Steve Stinnette was the keynote presenter. Steve has also been a strong advocate of disciple-maker.
His extensive handouts will be a great resource in our disciple-maker efforts. He included a list of recommended books on disciple-maker.
Here are a few that are available in the PIU Library:
A.B. Bruce. The Training of the Twelve. BS2440.B78 Robert E. Coleman The Master Plan of Evangelism. 2nd edition. BT590.C65 Leroy Eilms. The Lost Art of Disciple Making. BV4501.2.E32 Bill Hull. The Complete Book of Discipleship; On Being and Making Followers of Christ. BV4520.H85 Bill Hull The Disciple-Making Church BV4520.H85 Bill Hull The Disciple-Making Pastor BV625.25.H85 Bill Hull Jesus Christ, Disciplemaker: Rediscovering Jesus’ Strategy for Building His Church. BV4501.2.H85 Greg Odgen,. Discipleship Essentials; a Guide to Building Your Life in Christ. Expanded edition BV4511.O33 Andrew Scott. Scatter; Go Therefore and Take Your Job with You BV2063.S36
During the conference various video clips were presented. One of the more dramatic was a scene from the movie Facing the Giants where the football coach challenges one
player to the “death crawl.” The coach encourages the student to step up as a leader.
