The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, in accordance with Locos Grill and Pub, is holding its 8 th annual charity golf tournament on Monday October 24, 2011 to do just that. The charity event proceeds will give several underprivileged children the opportunity to receive a scholarship to any branch of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia. The scholarship will include a year’s access to the YMCA of their choice and they will have access to all activities, events, and programs that the YMCA has to offer for free for a year. This event is a chance for people of all ages to come out and enjoy a tantalizing day of golf. We at the YMCA are very familiar with the large population of Savannah patrons who enjoy the game of game and feel that this event will not only give those individuals a chance to play the game they love but also help out those in need. A win- win situation! The event will be held at The Club at Savannah Harbor. The donation doubles as the entry fee for the tournament, which is $500 per team. The $500 includes a cart, food, drinks, and prizes. For those who just want to have a fun round of golf its’ $25. The event will begin at 12:15 p.m. We are sure that Savannah Morning News readers will want to know aboutthis kind-hearted event and we look forward to helping you in any way we can. I will contact you a week before the event to follow-up with you.
