KCC Challenge Brief

• Making spaces feel safe and inclusive

Our design aims to make people in Canterbury, specifically older people

and tourists feel more included in society. We think our design fits this

criteria by providing services to people who otherwise would not have the

technology or knowledge to use them themselves.

Key Themes from Empathic Conversations

Older people are interested, but maybe afraid to try to learn, feel like they don’t

have the skills to learn properly.

• Lack of self-confidence

• Stay in their comfort zone

• Interest in technology
