Cherry Blossoms and Snow

Once again, people in Japan are enthe spring cherry blossoms. This ye!"#"$ there was a bit of a surprise

came with them.

On %pril #&th, it was unusually cold Japan this time of year and snow fein the (anto region. )t was the first *# years for snow to fall this late in season in some areas.$

+hile one often can see ume blosswith snow around them, its rare to sspring cherry blossoms with snow. are 'arieties of the trees that bloomwinter.$

pyramids, team jump4rope, and e'esmall scale battles where the childreon each other and attempt to push topponents to the ground. The most forward to e'ents are the relay racebiggest one of which is often left as last e'ent.

Buddhist temples can be founde'erywhere in Japan. %lmost allcommunities ha'e at least one smatemple li0e this one. This temple is aacross the street from a supermar0e

There are three streams of water that foOtowa-no-taki . This is a genkan in a Japanese apartment. The gis the entryway around the door where the shoes 0ept. Shoes are not worn indoors in order to 0eepfloor clean. %lso, wearing shoes on traditional tatamats will damage the mats.

Shoes are traditionally placed facing the door so guests will ha'e an easy time stepping into their sas they lea'e.

This is a bathroom in a Japanese apartment. 9otthat the whole room is li0e a shower. The room isdesigned so that one can wash outside of the batclimb into the tub for a nice hot soa0.
