Iamamarinescientist,artist,graphicrecorderandchildren’sauthor/illustratorwhospecializesincreativeandvisualcommunications.Ihaveover15year’sexperienceworkinginstrategicplanningandpolicy,researchanddevelopment,naturalresourcemanagement,conservationplanningandmanagement,businessandindustrydevelopmentandprogrammanagement.ThroughmyrolesinGovernment,UniversityandResearchOrganisationsIhaveextensiveexperienceinthecoordinationanddevelopmentofcomplexprojectsandstakeholderengagementandcommunication,withspecialtyskillsinmarineandenvironmentalmatters.Since2015Ihavecombinedmyprofessionalexperienceswithmyskillsasanartistandscientisttorunmyownbusinessto“Pictureyourideas”,usingvisualstorytellingapproachesforover40organisationsacrossAustraliaandtheSouthEastAsianregion.AsagraphicrecorderandvisualartistIworkwithawiderangeofgroupstovisuallycaptureandconveyideas,keymessagesanddiscussionsandalsocreatehanddrawninfographicstohelpillustrateinformation,issuesandideas.Thesecreativecollaborationsarecarriedoutinpersonateventsandmeetingsorremotelyviaphone,email,onlineplatformsandusingwrittenandaudio-visualmaterials.
