This image was not selected due to the harsh lighting from the right hand side. This created deep shadows and slightly distorted the image. I have not used this photo as I also wanted to get the full guitar in shot, however this image cuts out the guitar at the bottom.

For this image I wanted to capture the models full body and allow him to become a main focal point through central positioning and clear direct address.However I was not happy with the guitar covering most of the models form including his face as My cover relies on his expression and identity to draw in potential buyers. I also did not like the inclusion of the floor in the image as it looks unprofessional.

For this image I wanted to create a relaxed tone, having the model informally leaning against the wall with his instrument being one of the main focal points. This pose however proved better for a conventional fashion magazine and I didn't like the instrument being cut off on the left and right of the image.

This image was suitable due to the long shot of the model being effective in establishing direct address and grabbing attention through the rule of thirds centre positioning. However I didn't like the inclusion of the floor in this image as it ruins the overall mise en scene and takes attention away from the model.

This final image, being a high angle medium long shot, was perfect for the stylistics of the magazine, as the guitar is included and the direct address is eye catching. I also utilizes the high angle shot to give a sense of power to my audience over the musician, allowing them to feel compelled to buy the magazine through wanting to learn more about the new music produced by this artist. The guitar and its side positioning also helps in drawing attention to the models facial features. The image also left enough room for the masthead and sell lines to the side.
