LocationFly north by charted float plane from Yellowknife,

Northwest Territories. This flight takes approximately one hour and 20 minutes and

provides breathtaking views as you fly over the treeline to the edge of the barrens.

Land on one of the largest lakes of the legendary Coppermine River where

you can enjoy miles of shoreline to fish in addition to observing migratory wildlife and birds regularly seen in this part of the world.

Lodge.

LodgingYou will be impressed with the comfort of our lodge in such a secluded area. Our clean, modern facilities have all the conveniences to make your stay comfortable; they are the perfect place to retire after a day of fishing or taking photos. Enjoy thoughtfully prepared meals as you dine at our main lodge and relax in the comfort of the lounge prior to retiring to your cabin for the night. Each cabin comfortably accommodates two to four people, is equipped with solar lighting and warm bedding. Other amenities include: gazebo; wood-fired sauna; and separate shower house. There is also satellite telephone and wifi-internet access. We pay careful attention to all the details to ensure your comfort. Guest capacity 10-12.

Fishing Trophy Lake Trout & Arctic Grayling fishing is our speciality and, for a few glorious months each year these opportunities are abound. Whether you prefer lots of action and aim to catch smaller lake trout or want to break the 58lb record, Peterson’s Point Lake Lodge offers both experiences. There are also opportunities to fish for Arctic Grayling at one of the tributaries that flow into Point Lake or in the small lake behind your cabin. Here you will find some of the most satisfying fishing opportunities of your life whether you choose to troll, fly fish or jig. Get ready to set your hook, keep a tight line and reel in a trophy lake trout.

PhotographyAnyone interested in

exploring the barrens and viewing nature with a camera

has a unique opportunity to capture some spectacular images during their stay and/or during our annual week-long guided Arctic Photography Adventure. Experience the authentic splendour of the Northwest Territories, when the barrens turn crimson. See the barren-ground caribou migration, enjoy the mesmerizing landscape and see the aurora dance in the northern sky during this special time of the year.
