1. INT. CARLILE HIGH. BIOLOGY CLASS. 12:30

Its a stuffy afternoon and ARIANA is sat in the back of her Biologyclass attempting to take notes, despite the fact that she has aheadache. Due to the headache, she has barely been able to pay attentionand so therefore does not know what the TEACHER has been talking aboutfor the past half hour.

TEACHER

Ariana, please can you come to the front and demonstrate.

ARIANA

(Hesitantly)

Uh...umm...sure

ARIANA stands up and hesitantly makes her way to the front of the classtaking the pen from the TEACHERs hand and trying her best to take inwhat was on the board. She grabs her head as a sudden pain shootsthrough it.

TEACHER

Are you okay Ariana? You look a little pale.

ARIANA

(Shaking her head)

I feel a little lightheaded

TEACHER

Theres only five minutes left, how about you collect yourthings and go and get some fresh air.

ARIANA

(Quietly)

Thank you sir.

ARIANA heads back to her seat to collect her things as the TEACHERcarries on with his lesson. She picks up her things and quietly headsout of the classroom and down to the courtyard.

CUT TO COURTYARD

2. CARLILE HIGH. COURTYARD. LUNCH TIME

ARIANA is sitting outside her head in her hands. Shes confused as thesearing headache she had has suddenly disappeared. BLANE enters and sitsdown next to ARIANA.

BLANE

(Concerned)

Hey Ari, whats up? Are you okay?

ARIANA

Honestly, I dont know. I had a really bad headache, likereally bad. And now suddenly its just gone.

BLANE

Well isnt that a good thing? At least you dont have itanymore.

ARIANA

Thats true I suppose.

ARIANA finally removes her head from her hands and looks up to see agrinning BLANE which immediately causes her to grin.

BLANE

There we go, thats the smile I wanted to see.

ARIANA

(Shoves BLANE gently)

Anyway, how are you? Feeling old yet?

BLANE

(Jokingly)

I was good until you said that! Besides, Im not 18 untiltomorrow.

ARIANA

Are you excited? Youll be an adult; you can do what youwant, when you want.

BLANE

I do what I want when I want anyway! Im a badass remember

ARIANA

Badass my ass. Youre the least badass person I know.SpongeBob is more badass that you.

BLANE

Well of course, he is my trainer. I cant be more badass that

my trainer.

SpongeBob is a sponge

BLANE

Exactly, you cant get more badass than a sponge!

ARIANA

I beg to differ.

As the two are joking back and forth CHELSEA enters with herclique. They all stop in front of ARIANA and BLANE.

CHELSEA

(mockingly)

Well if it isnt little miss teachers pet. I heard about yougetting out of class early, what did you do? Promise to bakethe teacher cakes or something?

ARIANA

(annoyed)

No, I wasnt feeling too well. And besides, Im pretty sureits noneof your business, I wasnt even in your class.

CHELSEA

Oh when will you learn that everything that goes on thisschool is my business, Ari?

BLANE

(Speaking up suddenly)

Hey, dont call her that!

CHELSEA

(Smirking)

Why? Does little Ari not like it? Or is only her specialBlaney allowed to call her that?

All of her following laugh as if shes told the best joke in the world.BLANE and ARIANA on the other hand dont see the appeal.

ARIANA

(Starting to get really annoyed)

Hey CHELSEA! Why dont you leave him alone? In fact why dontyou do us a favour and leave us all alone full stop? Im

pretty sure majority of this school have had enough of yourshit. So just, leave us alone already.

JUSTIN enters, who is CHELSEAs boyfriend and also captain of thefootball team.

JUSTIN

Hey, CHELSEA, are you coming to eat with us or are yougoing to hang around those losers all day?

CHELSEA

(Calling across the quad to JUSTIN)

Im coming Justy!

(turns to ARIANA and BLANE)

Ill see you later losers.

ARIANA and BLANE burst out laughing as they watch CHELSEA trot off onher high heels towards JUSTIN.

ARIANA

Ugh, theyre so annoying! Sometimes I wonder how theyvemanaged to make it this far in life.

BLANE

(T easing)

Remember when you used to be in love with him?

ARIANA

I was never in love with him!

BLANE

But you did have a crush on him, dont lie.

ARIANA

I was in year two, I didnt know any better and besides, itwas only because he had a first edition Charizard Pokmoncard.

BLANE

So is that one of your values when looking at guys now? Whatrare Pokmon cards they own? Because I own three.

ARIANA

(Laughing)

Shut up BLANE.

(Shrugging his shoulders)

Just letting you know. Anyway, am I still going to your houseafter school?

ARIANA

Of course! We have to relive the whole of your childhoodbefore you turn 18.

The two are laughing and getting excited for later as the camera zoomsout slowly.

FADE TO

3. CARLILE HIGH. BASEBALL FIELD. 16:40

ARIANA is at baseball practice whilst BLANE is looking on from thebleachers, a book in his hand. ARIANA is fielding when the COACH blowsthe whistle and calls them all in.

COACH

Well done guys, now lets switch it round. Fielders, youreup to bat and vice versa. Lets go team!

COACH claps her hands together above her head as the team high five eachother as they swap sides. As ARIANA steps up to bat, BLANE disregardsthe book and watches ARIANA cheering her on silently as hes aware ofthe few other people scattered on the bleachers around him.

COACH

(Shouting from the sidelines)

You can do this! Just keep your eye on the ball!

ARIANA takes a few deep breaths before she nods her head signalling thatshes ready to bat. She lifts the bat over her shoulders and swings asthe ball comes near, but misses it.

COACH

(Supportively)

Almost! Youre going to get it this time!

ARIANA gets back into position, but this time as soon as shes noddedher head to signal that shes ready, her headache kicks in again almostinstantly. In her mind she sees one of her team mates JESSICA twistingher ankle. While shes seeing this, she is oblivious to the fact thatthe ball has already been bowled and is travelling straight towards her.The intensity of the vision causes her to pass out just after shes hitin the shoulder by the ball hurtling straight towards her. BLANE dropshis book and rushes over to her, along with the rest of the team and the

COACH. BLANE drops down next to her and starts to call her name.

BLANE

(Becoming more worried with each passing second)

AIANA! ARI! Are you okay? Can you hear me?

COACH

(Seeming to be in control)

Okay everyone, calm down. I think shes just passed out. Doesanyone know if shes been feeling well today?Has she eaten?

BLANE

She ate with me at lunch.

TEAM MEMBER

She wasnt feeling well in biology today. She had to leavebecause she had a headache.

COACH

Okay, BLANE, can you get her to the nursesoffice?

BLANE nods as he picks her up and carries her to the nurses office,completely forgetting his bag and book left on the bleachers.

COACH

Okay girls, I think thats enough for today, how about you

head home early and get some rest? Well pick this up againon Monday. Have a good weekend.

As the team make their way back to the changing rooms, JESSICA trips ona stray baseball and falls to the ground clutching her ankle. The COACHruns over to her along with a few other team members that havent goneinto the locker room yet.

COACH

JESSICA what happened?

JESSICA

(In Pain)

I tripped on a baseball.

JESSICA attempts to get up.

I think Ive twisted my ankle.

COACH

MARIA, please can you take her to the Nurses office?

4. CARLILE HIGH. NURSES OFFICE. 17:10

ARIANA opens her eyes to find that shes not sure where she is. Theresa bright light shining in her eyes and making her squint. She turns herhead to the side to see BLANE sitting in a chair. As soon as he saw shewas awake, he jumped up and made his way to her.

BLANE

ARIANA! Youre awake!

He kneels down next to her looking concerned.

I was so worried about you! How are you feeling? I shouldprobably tell the nurse youre awake!

Before BLANE could get up in search of the NURSE, ARIANA reached out forhis arm, stopping him.

ARIANA

(A little confused)

Slow down. What happened?

BLANE

You dont remember?

ARIANA

Uhm, no. Who are you?

BLANE looks at ARIANA, looking for a trace of recognition, but seesnothing. His eyes start to fill up with what look to be tears.

BLANE

I, uh...you dont know who I am? I-

ARIANA

Calm down, BLANE. I was only joking. Of course I know who youare! How could I possibly forget you?!

A sudden look of relief crosses BLANEs face and then he turns seriousas if hes annoyed.

BLANE

ARIANA! Oh my God! If you werent in this state right now Iwould push you off of that bed! Youre so mean! I cantbelieve you...in fact I can believe you! This is just likethat time in Year 6 on that Field Trip when that old ladyknocked you into the pond.

ARIANA

Im sorry BLANE, I just had to. You should have seen yourface.

BLANE

My face huh? Did it look like yours when JUSTIN scared you inYear 7 when he jumped out of that bush with that pumpkin maskon?

BLANE mimics the face that ARIANA pulled, exaggerating it rather a lot.ARIANA reaches out and punches him in the arm.

BLANE

Its clear that youre definitely back to yourself already.But you need to rest okay? That means no sudden movements.Are you in pain?

ARIANA

No actually, its strange. Its like earlier when I had thatheadache and I was in so much pain and then all of a sudden,

the pain just disappeared.

A sudden look of realisation takes over ARIANAs features.

Hows JESSICA?

BLANE

(Rather confused)

Huh?

ARIANA

Hows her ankle?

BLANE

(Looking at ARIANA a confused expression now clearly onhis face)

How did you know about her ankle? She came in here after youpassed out and was gone before you came around. And I knowyou didnt wake up, because I was watching you the wholetime.

ARIANA attempts to change the subject, not quite sure shes ready toexplain to BLANE what happened as shes not even ready herself.

ARIANA

(In a teasing manner)

So you were watching me the whole time, huh?

ARIANA laughs a little as BLANE clearly becomes flustered and his cheeksstart to heat up a little.

BLANE

I wasnt staring at you! I was just...I uh, I was waiting foryou to wake up.

The NURSE enters.

NURSE

(In a rather unnerving voice)

You were supposed to inform me when the Young ARIANA woke up

Young BLANE.

ARIANA

(Seeing how uncomfortable BLANE looks in the presenceof the rather creepy NURSE)

I only just woke up, BLANE was just telling me where I was.He was just about to come and find you. Werent you BLANE?

BLANE

(Nodding his head quickly)

Yes, I was.

NURSE

(Rather sceptically)

I see. Hmmm. How are you feeling?

ARIANA

(Trying to convince the NURSE that she was fine so that

they could both escape as soon as possible)

Im feeling a lot better thanks. I think Im fine to go now.

NURSE

(Tilting her head slightly)

Im not so sure. You still look rather pale to me. Maybe youshould...stay a little longer.

ARIANA

No, thats okay thanks. Schools over and we really should begetting home. And I feel as good as new.

ARIANA swings herself off of the bed and onto her feet trying to proveto the NURSE that she was feeling better. She picked up her bag andgrabbed BLANEs arm and tugging him towards the door.

ARIANA

Thank you for everything NURSE WENDY.

(Calling after the two who are already half way out thedoor)

I shall be seeing you later Young ARIANA and you too YoungBLANE.

The two run round the side of the building as soon as they are out ofthe door in order to get away quicker.

BLANE

She gives me the creeps.

ARIANA

(Nodding her head)

I know what you mean. Whats up with her? Young BLANE?

BLANE

Young ARIANA?

ARIANA

Theres definitely something up with that woman.

BLANE

Without a doubt

BLANE face palms himself, suddenly realising something.

BLANE

I left my bag in the bleachers dag nabbit.

ARIANA

(Grabbing hold of BLANEs arm gently)

Come on then, lets go and get it. Then we have to go and

relive your childhood before you turn eighteen!

BLANE and ARIANA both walk off arm in arm towards the bleachers insearch of BLANEs bag.

CUT TO

ARIANAS HOUSE. ARIANAS SITTING ROOM. 17:45.

ARIANA and BLANE have set up camp in a pillow and blanket fort that theyhave built to play old PlayStation 2 games in. They are currentlyplaying Disneys Extreme Skate Adventure and have a half eaten pizza infront of them. BLANE throws down the remote after he loses once again.

ARIANA

I AM VICTORIOUS ONCE AGAIN!

BLANE

Yeah, yeah, whatever. Its only because I cant play in thesecramped conditions.

ARIANA

Its not my fault that youre so freakishly tall.

ARIANA takes a slice of pizza out of the box, but before she can eat anyof it, BLANE leans in and bites a huge chunk out of it. ARIANA looks athim shocked.

ARIANA

Hey! What was that for?

BLANE

For being mean. Now Im going to leave you and go and findsomeone who wants to be my new best friend.

BLANE gets up to leave, but ARIANA gets up and grabs his legs to try andstop him.

ARIANA

No BLANE, dont leave! I was only joking.

In grabbing his legs, BLANE loses balance and while trying to regain it,he trips over his legs and knocks down the pillow fort landing on the

pillows and pulling ARIANA down with him, landing on top of him.

ARIANA

Oops

Both ARIANA and BLANE look down at the muddle theyre in and burst outlaughing. In doing this, ARIANA moves herself from on top of BLANE andlies down beside him, cuddling into him, both of their hysteric laughtercalming back down to quiet giggles every now and then.

ARIANA

(Sighing happily)

Why cant we stay seventeen forever?

BLANE wraps an arm around ARIANA, pulling her closer.

BLANE

I really wish we could...on one condition

ARIANA

And what would that be?

BLANE

That you stopped snoring at our sleepovers.

ARIANA looks up at BLANE, giving him an annoyed look before prodding himin the stomach.

ARIANA

Well at least I dont talk in my sleep.

BLANE

Neither do I!

ARIANA

(Sarcastically)

Sure you dont.

BLANE gives ARIANA a worried look.

ARIANA

(Mimicking BLANEs voice)

Oh my GOD! I cant believe how AWESOME Ariana is! Shes likethe coolest person I know.

BLANE

(Looking slightly relieved, speaking jokingly toARIANA)

Okay, the fact that I supposedly used the words cool and

awesome to describe you, automatically means that you aremaking this up and I in fact dont talk in my sleep.

ARIANA

Believe what you will. Are you excited for your partytomorrow?

BLANE

I suppose so.

ARIANA

What do you mean you suppose so? Its going to be so cool!Music, food, CAKE!

BLANE

Trust you to remember the cake.

ARIANA

(Laughing)

Well at least Im excited, unlike some people.

I just, dont want to grow up. It seems like only yesterday Iwas twelve. Everythings going to fast, I dont want to getold.

ARIANA

Old? Youre not going to get old.

BLANE

But Ill still get older; I dont want to grow up.

ARIANA

Just because youre turning one year older, it doesnt meanyou have to grow up. Take All Time Low for example

BLANE

(Laughing a little)

How did I know you were going to bring them into thissomehow?

ARIANA

Shush, you. Now where was I? Take them for example, takeJack. Hes 25 and hes the most child-like person inexistence. See what I mean.

BLANE

I suppose.

ARIANA

Just because youre getting older, it doesnt mean you haveto get old. You can be like Peter Pan on the inside. Besides,I dont want you to grow up either, if you did, who elsewould watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with me?

BLANE

(Smiling)

How is it that you always make me feel so much better?

ARIANA

Because Im amazing.

BLANE

(Sighing happily)

ARIANAS HOUSE. KITCHEN. 07:32.

ARIANA wakes up and trudges down the stairs into the kitchen. Her motheris making pancakes and so she sits down at the table

ARIANAS MUM

Good morning Ariana

ARIANA

Morning mum

ARIANAS MUM

Im guessing you want some pancakes

ARIANA

(Laughing slightly)

You must be psychic

ARIANAs mother continues to cook the pancakes as "Supernatural" playsin the background through the radio. ARIANA hums along to it as she tapsher fingers on the table. Suddenly a vision hits her. In her mind shesees her mother knock the glass over. She gasps as she snaps out of itand realises that the glass was still on the counter. Instead of sayinganything, she decides to test out a hypothesis. She watches the glasscarefully.

ARIANAS MUM

(Placing the plate of pancakes in front of ARIANA)

Here you go

ARIANAS MUM turns round to place the plate on the table in front ofAriana, but in doing so she knocks the glass to the floor. Ariana isvisibly stunned.

ARIANAS MUM

Oh no

ARIANA

(Under her breath)

Shit.

ARIANAS MUM

(Sternly)

Excuse me? What did you say young lady?

ARIANA

Nothing mum

And I should hope so too. Or else Id have to speak to yourfather about those bands that you listen to and how theyrecausing you to speak in such a disgraceful manner.

ARIANA

(Visibly annoyed)

Mum, theres nothing wrong with my music.

ARIANAS MUM

Theres more than just something wrong with it, itsjust...noise. And not the good kind either.

ARIANA gets up and pushes away her untouched pancakes onto the counter.

ARIANA

Im going to Blanes

ARIANA walks out of her back door and walks round the front of her houseand through Blanes back door.

BLANES MUM

Good morning Ariana dear. How are you this morning?

ARIANA

Im good thank you, and yourself?

BLANES MUM

Im great thank you. Blanes still asleep, would you go on upand wake him for me?

BLANES MUM laughs a little

BLANES MUM

I swear that boy could sleep forever.

ARIANA makes her way up to BLANE's room and quietly opens the door,closing it behind her and sneaking closer to BLANE's bed. SuddenlyARIANA jumps on him, causing him to wake with a start.

ARIANA

(Cheerfully)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLANEY!!

BLANE

(Breathing heavily from the shock)

Oh my God! Ari, you nearly gave me a heart attack!

(Laughing)

Sorry, but its your birthday!

BLANE

(Sarcastically)

Well I never, really?

ARIANA

(Brushing him off)

So, how do you feel?

BLANE

(Snuggling back under the blankets)

Tired.

ARIANA

Wake up Blaney! Im here to spend your birthday with you

ARIANA prods BLANE, attempting to wake him up. Instead BLANE throws thecovers over ARIANA and pulls her under with him.

BLANE

(Sleepily)

There you go. Now we can spend all day sleeping together.

ARIANA

(Laughing a little)

That sounds weird, Blane.

BLANE

I didnt mean it like that Ari and you know I didnt. Itstoo early for this. Wait, whats the time?

ARIANA

When I left it was just past eight.

BLANE

Its still early. Im still tired.

ARIANA

Thats because you stay up all night reading and playingvideo games.

Maybe Im just nocturnal. Like a bat. Yeah, thats it, inanother life I was a bat.

ARIANA

But bats have extraordinary hearing.

BLANE

Are you saying I dont?

ARIANA

Every time I call you, you never hear me.

BLANE

(Obviously joking)

So? Maybe Im just ignoring you. Bet you didnt think ofthat. Maybe I just dont want to be seen with you in public.

ARIANA

Well, if thats true, then I guess Id better just go home.

As ARIANA gets up to leave, BLANE pulls her back closer into his arms.

BLANE

(In a childish voice)

No Ari, I was only joking. Dont leave, please. Im sorry.

ARIANA

(Looking as if shes considering what to say to him)

Well, I suppose it is your birthday.

BLANE then opens his eyes and realises what ARIANA is wearing.

ARIANA

(Confused)

What?

BLANE

Why are you wearing your pyjamas?

ARIANA

(Hesitantly)

Because...I wanted to.

(Sarcastically)

So you walked over here in your pyjamas because you wantedto, even though you knew that Pervy Pete was most likelypeeking out of his windows again and would see you...in your

Invader Zim pyjamas?

ARIANA

Well no, of course not. I just...

BLANE

(Sympathetically)

You had another argument with your mum didnt you?

ARIANA

Maybe, but it doesnt matter. Today is your day.

BLANE

It may be my day but Ill always make time for you nomatter what. Even if its the middle of the night and Imasleep, just call me and Ill let you in.

ARIANA

(Trying to lighten the mood)

But that doesnt make sense, because you dont sleep atnight, so theres no chance that youd be sleeping.

BLANE

Ah! There you go then. Therefore, if Im never asleep atnight, then you dont have to feel guilty about waking me up,because Id never have gone to sleep in the first place.

The two laugh a little, then Blane speaks up again, attempting tolighten the mood more.

BLANE

(Grinning)

And here I was thinking that you just couldnt wait to seeme.

ARIANA

Nope, lets go downstairs, your mum asked me to wake you up.

BLANE and ARIANA walked downstairs to see BLANES MUM filling up three

plates of waffles.

(Cheerily)

Come and sit down you two, were going to have a birthdaybreakfast.

ARIANA and BLANE sit down at the table while BLANES MUM puts two platesof waffles in front of them, before sitting down with her own.

BLANES MUM

(Kissing BLANEs head)

Happy Birthday honey!

BLANE

Thanks mum

ARIANA

(Grinning through her mouth full of waffles)

Jenna, these are the best waffles ever, Thank you so much!

BLANES MUM

(Grinning from ear to ear)

Im so glad you like them. Now eat up both of you, you have abusy day ahead.

PARTY HALL. BEFORE THE PARTY. 14:10

Things are being set up for BLANE's party. Ariana and Blane are helpingto blow up balloons and Blane's sister MEGAN is attempting to put up abanner. People are moving in and out carrying boxes of decorations andfood. The DJ can be heard setting up his equipment, parts of songsplaying every now and again.

BLANE

(Getting slightly out of breath)

How many more of these do we have to blow up?

ARIANA

Loads! We need balloons, lots and lots and lots of them!

BLANE

(Slightly frustrated)

Ughhh, its making me lightheaded. Lets take a little break.

BLANE picks up his drink and has some of it, ARIANA follows his actions.

Sooo, I heard that Cassie is really excited about tonight.

BLANE

(Somewhat bored)

Really? And why do you bring that up?

ARIANA

(Nudging him and elongating some of her vowels)

Because you have a crush on her.

BLANE

(Sighing)

You still believe that, huh?

ARIANA

Well yes, I mean what about those rumours that were goinground?

BLANE

They were just rumours. Justin started them to annoy me.

ARIANA

Seriously? I thought that they were real!

BLANE

If I did have a crush on her, which for the record, I dont,then dont you think youd be the first one to know? Andbesides, why would I tell Justin anything?

ARIANA

Oh.

BLANE

Yeah.

ARIANA

I was thinking that maybe you could ask her to dance. Afterall, it is your special night.

BLANE

I dont want to dance with her. I feel sorry enough for her

already, the only reason she got dragged into this wasbecause she refused to do Justins homework the same day thatI accidentally threw that basketball at his head.

(Chuckling)

I still cant believe I missed that. I would pay more than myweight in gold to see it happen again.

BLANE

I would pay triple my weight in gold just to have that daypermanently erased from history.

ARIANA

I still cant believe how much of a baby he acted like. Itsnot like it hit him that hard from what I heard. Hes such awhiny idiot.

The two laugh a little, sharing a smile.

ARIANA

So, are you starting to get excited?

BLANE

For what?

ARIANA

For your party of course!

BLANE

Meh. Not really.

ARIANA

But its going to be great!

BLANE

You know Im not really the party person. And besides, Idmuch rather of spent the evening just watching films with you

or something.

ARIANA

Awh, we can do that tomorrow. But were going to make tonightawesome okay?

BLANE nods his head along.

ARIANA

(Getting up)

Im going to go and get another drink; Ill be back in aminute.

ARIANA goes to the drinks table and pours herself another drink. As sheturns around to walk back to the table, another vision hits her. In thisvision, the DJs speaker makes a loud noise, startling MEGAN and sheloses her footing on the ladder and falls to the ground. As ARIANA snapsout of it, she drops her cup and it lands on the floor spilling itscontents everywhere. She runs to the ladder as fast as she can. Beforeshe can reach the ladder, she hears the DJs speakers make the loud

noise, she continues running. MEGAN begins to fall; letting out a loudscream in the process in slow motion, as it looks like shes going tohit the floor, ARIANA catches her just in time.

MEGAN

(Breathing heavily)

Oh my God! Ariana! Thank you so much! I-I...

ARIANA

(Helping MEGAN back onto her feet)

Come on then, lets get you sat down for a while.

ARIANA leads MEGAN over to sit down as various people begin to crowdaround her.

BLANE

(Worried)

Oh my goodness, what happened?

MEGAN

(Still trying to catch her breath a little)

I was startled by that noise and I fell off the ladder. Buthen, Ariana caught me. Thank you so much!

ARIANA

Im just glad I was there when it happened. I just...happenedto be there.

MEGAN

(Seemingly to have overcome the shock)

Something snaps in ARIANAs eyes and she stops dancing.

ARIANA

ARIANA runs to her laptop and turns it on.

ARIANA

(Impatiently)

Come on, come on, come on. Hurry up gahhh.

ARIANA impatiently taps on her desk waiting for the laptop to load. Asit finally loads, she rushes to type in her password, spelling it wronga few times in her rush. Ones she gets it right she brings up Google andtypes in, psychic. She clicks on the first page and reads aloud.

ARIANA

(Reading from the screen)

A psychic is a person who claims to have an abilityto perceiveinformation hidden from the normalsensesthrough extrasensory perception, or who is said byothers to have such abilities. Also known as a medium.

ARIANA scrolls further down the page and stops on a part about seeinginto the future.

time. As ARIANA approaches MEGAN she spots her and gets up spreading herarms wide and pulling ARIANA in for a big hug.

ARIANA

(Hesitantly)

Oh, come on Ariana, itll be fun!

(Giving in)

Oh, okay then. Lets do it.

ARIANA and MEGAN move to where the crowd of people are dancing and beginto dance along to the song. After the song has finished, ARIANA spotsBLANE and tells MEGAN that shell see her later. ARIANA walks over toBLANE and embraces him in a hug, startling him a little bit.

BLANE

(Realising who it is)

Ariana! Youre here! Ive been trying to find you everywhere.

ARIANA

I was dancing with Megan.

BLANE

(Laughing slightly)

Please tell me that you did your jellyfish dance.

ARIANA

So what if I did?

The DJ began to speak over the loudspeaker.

DJ

Now the birthday boys sister has asked me to slow it down fora while. So everyone grab someone you love, someone you hate,someone you know or someone you dont and get close.

The song changes to Where TheFence is Low by LIGHTS. BLANE looks overto see his sister trying to subtly hint that he should ask ARIANA todance. He becomes visibly nervous as he looks up at ARIANA, blushingslightly.

BLANE

(A little nervous)

Would you like to dance with me?

ARIANA

(Grinning)

Sure

BLANE leads ARIANA towards the improvised dance floor and they begin todance slowly in time to the music, wrapped in each othersarms. ARIANAlooks up to see BLANE smiling down at her with a look in his eyes.

ARIANA

(Smiling slightly)

What?

BLANE

(Quietly)

Nothing, its just you look really beautiful.

ARIANA

(Blushing slightly)

Uhm, thanks.

BLANE

You dont believe me

ARIANA looks down, confirming this fact.

BLANE

But its true, you are.

ARIANA looks up at BLANE, both are smiling shyly as they continue todance.

Youre looking very handsome in your suit.

BLANE

I think its embarrassing.

ARIANA

Well I think you look cute.

Both BLANE and ARIANA start to laugh together. ARIANA lets out a contentsigh, leaning her head onto BLANEs chest, not being able to reach hisshoulder. Smiles spread across both of their faces. Without themknowing, MEGAN takes a picture of them, looking down at the preview andsmiling at it before walking off to take some more pictures. Soon thesong comes to an end and Say You Like Me by We The Kings starts toplay.

BLANE AND ARIANA

(Excited)

I LOVE THIS SONG!

Both ARIANA and BLANE start to jump around singing the lyrics at the topof their longs and laughing. When the song comes to an end, theyremember where they are.

ARIANA

(Laughing)

I kind of forgot that we were in public.

BLANE

(Rather embarrassed)

So did I, maybe we should step outside for a while.

Both of them step outside and sit on the edge of a wall, quietly lookingup at the stars.

ARIANA

(Hesitantly)

BLANE

I...well I dont really know how to say it, but somethingsbeen happening to me. And its going to come as really weirdand I know youre going to think Im an absolute nutcase. But

I didnt know who else I could tell.

BLANE

(Reassuringly)

ARIANA

I know...but this is different. Even I dont know whatsgoing on. And if Im honest Im more than a little scared.

BLANE moves a little closer to ARIANA, taking her hand in his ownreassuringly.

ARIANA

(Exhaling hesitantly)

I...Ive been seeing things. Things that havent happenedyet.

BLANE

Are you sure youre just not feeling okay after yesterday?

ARIANA

No, its not that, I wasnt feeling well and the first timeI...saw something, was just before I passed out.

BLANE

(Confused)

What was it you saw? Wait; is that how you knew aboutJessicas ankle? Is that what you saw?

ARIANA nodded, looking up at BLANE slowly.

ARIANA

And I saw my mum knocking over a glass, and then it happened.And Megan on the ladder...

BLANE

You must think Im crazy.

BLANE

No, I dont think youre crazy. Im just...confused myself.

ARIANA is suddenly hit with another vision. In this vision she seesCHELSEA with her friends TANYA and LACEY and theyre planning to cut theplugs of the speakers. ARIANA notices their location as being justoutside the kitchen.

ARIANA

Come on, we dont have much time.

ARIANA grabs BLANEs hand and pulls him as fast as she can through thehall, picking up a stray cup full of drink on her way. They reach thekitchen and ARIANA signals for BLANE to be quiet as they silently slipthrough the door. ARIANA pulls BLANE onto the floor with her next to oneof the counters and just as they do so, CHELSEA, LACEY and TANYA walkinto the kitchen through the back door. They stop in the middle of thedeserted kitchen to clarify their plan.

TANYA

So if were not here for the party, then why are we here?

CHELSEA

(Slightly frustrated)

How many times do I have to tell you? Were here to ruin it,were not here to eat cake and dance. Why would we want tosocialise with these sorts of people.

TANYA

(Disappointedly)

But I like cake

CHELSEA

(Trying to calm her voice)

If you dont shut up, then Ill shove the cake in your face.Jeez. Now, whats happening is we keep guard while LACEY cutsthe wire to the speakers.

LACEY

Why do I have to cut the wire? I dont want to be the onethat gets charged with damaging equipment.

If you want anything done you have to do it yourself. I wouldask you to do it TANYA, but youd probably end up stabbingyourself with the scissors or something. So you two have to

(Reluctantly)

The three begin to make their way to the door, but before they can doit, ARIANA stands up.

(Trying her best to keep her cool)

I wouldnt do that if I were you.

The three suddenly halt and turn around.

CHELSEA

(Even more annoyed now)

Well if it isnt little miss so pathetic she passes out justfrom standing up to bat. Now, sorry, but we have to go and

attend to something.

ARIANA

And what would that be? Ruin BLANEs party?

CHELSEA

(Pretending to think)

Hmm, well it seems that youre correct. Well done, would youlike a gold star?

ARIANA

No, but I can think of some other things that Id like to doto you. Like throw this drink all over that pretty whiteshirt of yours.

CHELSEA

(Taking a step forward)

CHELSEA

This isnt really a party anyway. Have you even been to areal party? I mean, this is pathetic; youre allso...pathetic.

Before CHELSEA can say anymore ARIANA pours the drink over CHELSEAshead, drenching her completely in an orange liquid. CHELSEA screamswhilst ARIANA laughs, along with BLANE who has now emerged from behindthe counter. As theyre laughing, the door opens and MEGAN walks in.

MEGAN

Whats going on in here?

ARIANA

Megan, meet Chelsea and her hyenas.

MEGAN

Oh, so this is CHELSEA! Perhaps we should take a picture tomark our introduction.

MEGAN takes a picture of the dripping wet CHELSEA before checking it onthe display.

MEGAN

Yep, thatll do. Now, Ill help escort you ladies off of the

premises.

MEGAN ushered the three through to the main hall instead of just out theback door.

CHELSEA

You cant take me out this way, people will see me.

MEGAN

Too bad, you should have thought about that when you sneakedin. Now come on.

MEGAN led them all out into the main hall and people could be heardlaughing before the door closed, leaving BLANE and ARIANA alone in thekitchen. BLANE looked at ARIANA, a wide smile spread across his face.
